Hi everyone,I'am new to the forum & just finding my way round.Had full license for years & only just bought first big(ish) bike.Anyhow could anyone point me in the right direction on chain lubing,i'am getting conflicting info the book says 500k's but dealers say after every run.These sealed o ring chains are new to me so who's right?Any help greatly received.

I am looking for any info on registering a rebuilt bike. I bought the sr250 as an insureance write off. It hadn't been in an accident, just stolen and replaced. My brother keeps saying i will have trouble registering it once its done. Infact he said that i could loose it altogether due to the frame number coming up as a write off. Does anyone have any advice. If that really is the case i will transfer everything onto the other sr250 frame, including the engine. The other thing he said is that i might have real trouble finding an insurer for a bike on a 'q' plate, which he says i'll have to register it as. Help please.

Hi. I have a 2000 (5EB) R6 in Blue. I bought a V PIece off EBay for it a couple of weeks ago. I went on my 1st Track Day at Donington yesterday, so I had waited til today to fit in "just in case". As it turns out, it doesnt fit. It is out in the Garage at th emo, but here is the EBay item number 280197153018. Compared to the oblack one that is already in situ, this is much more rounded at the pointy end, and the layout of the internal plastics is different, as are the fixing points. It SHOULD look like this (Ebay Item Number 280203355527). Is anyone on here astute enough to be able to tell from the picture what th eBlue one is actually from? Many thanks in a…

Since fuel prices are rising like crazy, just wanted to see if everyone could give their little tips or tricks on how to get better MPGs. I know different bikes are different with fuel consuption and tanks are different sizes, but just whatever anyone wants to write could help all of us. Thanks!

I am new owner and planning to do some off road stuff. I bought this little bike and it was running just fine but today when I started it the engine simply dies as soon as I put it in gear. It's not a question of being cold or low revs it almost seem to have no electrical power. It idles just fine and there's no problem when I pull the clutch in but as soon as I put the lever into any gear it dies. Grateful for any tips or ideas. Thanks

I'm a bit frustrated. Even after reading many of the infomative documents on this site... http://www.ntsb.gov/Events/symp_motorcycle_safety/agenda.htm ...I feel I know more about the dangers of the highway, but not how that compares to city street riding. So what's the deal, where I live I can choose either the highway 4 lanes with a fair amout of 18 wheelers or I can go city streets. I opt for the city streets but know that intersections can be dangerous places. Also, with city street driving you have cars that can pull out right in front of you turning right OR left. I have a 1999 FZR 600 Fazer, I want to upgrade the exhaust can. I am living in Gibraltar at the moment and ride over in Spain, so UK legality is no issue. Any ideas? I want something a bit more noisy and mayby even a few more horses! I don't want to spend too much money.

Hello everyone. I'm new here and I have a problem with my son's bike. It's a TDR 125 1993 and starts fine and runs ok until the bike is actually moved forward. Now I have checked the sidestand switch with a multimeter and all is well. I have even bypassed it too. We have also changed the 2 relays under the seat as I believe they are too related to this switch, but the problem is still there. Has anyone else encountered this or could anyone shed any light on the problem for me ? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Gary.

been riding my DTX for just over a Week now and have reached the 600 miles point after 1st service i want a new exhaust. but what makes are out their and are they worth it ps. any thing i can do to improve my fuel economy, 60miles to a tank is taking the p1ss to say the least Mellon

Well, just bought my first big bike, Ive got my test end of this month and will get her restricted for a couple of years. Shes a dragstar classic 650cc, and Im in love!! Im hoping to customise her as and when i can afford to do so, and was hoping some people on here may know where to get parts and how to sort out any problems etc. I do have a friend who has exactly the same bike, which is handy, but you can never have too many answers to too many questions.
