I just thought I'd introduce myself. Living in Bristol I passed my test in Feb this year (at the age of 41!) after the CBT two years ago. I don't actually have or ride a bike here but have a '99 FZS600 over on the Isle of Man where my g/f lives (right on the TT course). She got me into the biking and I'm loving every minute of it though currently I only get to ride four or five weeks of the year. Both my g/f and I sometimes marshall at the TT and Manx Grand Prix which is a great crack. I'd recommend a visit for the racing to anyone. Until you're that close, you really don't have a feel for the speed and everything else that goes with it. My plan is to relocate to…

Hello all, Just introducing myself to you all, I'm David from Liverpool, I currently have a Blue Yamaha RXS100 (((have been on L plates for 10 Years - and 4 CBT's!!))) which was rescued from a freinds back garden 6 months ago where it had sat for 5 years out in the open as you can imagine it was in quite a state I felt sorry for it so I paid him £100 and took it home with me to work on, having spent lots of time and a small amount of £ on it it now looks really well and runs terrific, perfect for my 6 mile each way journey to work and back which I do twice a day. Insurance is only £8 a month and the bike feels like free motoring as it's that cheap to run - especiall…

Hi all, Here be the customary tip of the hat, wherein I introduce myself and tell you all about me.... Name is Woody, bike is a '99 reg 650 Drag Custom in Red n' Silver. I'll most likely be hanging out, asking stupid questions in the Workshop area as I'm pushing towards 40,000 miles on the clock now, 12,000 of which are mine since buying the bike in September last year. This does mena that, due to both her age and my relative inexperience, the bike is at that stage where stuff starts to go wrong!! I ride in all weathers, every day, all year round, so the poor bike does have a seriously hard life. That said, she is well behaved and jumps to it without…

Hi Everyone, Just thought I would say hello to you all. I have been riding over a while now and this year bought my first Yamaha. Its a fazer 600 SP2 and to be honest its one heck of a bike. previously I had 2 bandits which were great bikes but not a patch on this. After reading reviews I decided on a change. Not one regret. On Thursday, a few friends and me are off to Germany for 5 days, so cant wait to wind it up on the Auto Bhan. Watch this space for pictures. Hopefully we're going to get to the Nurburgring, but you know how it goes! To be honest, little bit nervous as never ridden abroad before and any advice would be apreciated. Anyway.Hi to you all. …

hey, im looking for some advice as its my first post of many i hope.. im about to complete my direct access course and i like the look of the R6 very much. Is this an okay for my first bike? I've been driving cars for over 10 years now but its my first bike. I get different opinions from different people. Some people say the R6 is not very forgiving so im a bit worried now. Having said that im not stupid, and these people are probably talking about when really pushing it which I wont be doing.. Any opinions about this? Many thanks,

Hi all, Thought I'd pop in and introduce myself. After 7 years of nagging, the wife has finally relented and let me get another bike, Woohoo!! My last bike was a fzr1000 genesis, which I loved to bits so I just bought a '89 FZR600 genesis, (you're not having anything bigger than a 600.... yes dear!!). URL=http://www.picoodle.com/view.php?img=/3/9/6/f_DSCF0017m_9fe1b3f.jpg&srv=img27] Anyways, as you can see, she was in a bit of a state (bike not wife... tho now you mention it), so, 10 days, lots of stripping cleaning renewing and painting later..... and she's looking pretty good, yes thats the kitchen, yes I'm in trouble, big time!! …

Hi, There are a few different types of gloves available but as the seasons' just changing which ones would be best? I'm feeling the short style summer ones would be ok for the moment but I'm not sure how much use I would get out of them. Do I really need winters' already? Cheers.
