No matter how warm the engine is, or how long it's run, it chugs and dies at low RPMs - stop lights, parking lots, etc. I have to rev it while holding in the clutch or the engine will quit. Spark plugs 2 & 3 are a little bit black; 1 & 4 are relatively clean. Could it be the jets in the carburetor? Any suggestions? I'd like to be able to ride without worrying about it quitting. . .

Hope this is in the right place, my first post. A few months ago my dad bought me a MBK Doodo 125 from ebay. MBK bikes are the same as Yamaha, only differently branded/named. They are manufactured by the same company, and the MBK Doodo 125 is basically a Yamaha Teos 125. The bike did not come with any sort of registration details, so at the moment I am facing paying the £55 fee to Yamaha in order for them to give me my registration. I have the Engine Number and Frame Number, and was wondering if there is any way of finding out my registration while avoid the steep fee. Any help is appreciated.

Hi guys, I've got the bike going into the shop on Friday for a good overhaul; getting some engine bars fitted, new chain/sprockets (front sprocket +2 teeth, as per MarkyBoy's experiment), got a new 100 jet, new brake lever, indicator stalk, oil filter, air filter, and a partridge in a pear tree... Anyhoo, today driving into work I noticed the rear brake squeaking at low speeds when light pressure was applied... is this something sinister? Cheers all John

Hi, New Boy here ! I have bought a 1990 XJ900F and love it to bits 'cos it rides like my old CB750. Now here's the thing, I am Poor, and short! Have taken 2" of padding out of the seat but the ground is still a bit hit or miss and I have to shift from one leg to another depending on camber etc. Now......................... What shorter shocks can I fling on to lower Bike by about 2" ? there is Mucho "Gap" between Tyre & Rear Mudguard, I would like to get some from a breakers all I need is a make & model of something that would do the job. I can relocate the bracket rearwards on the O/S swing arm & make up a bracket for the shaft side, but that all get…

Came off last Friday, car pulled out on me which caused me to swerve and fall on the right hand side. Once again the engine bars did the trick, but I've come off with one major and two minors. Seeing as I was speeding (unusually ), and It was actually my driving which caused the accident (he was merely pulling out of his drive), I'm not to keen on claiming insurance. Pretty much though the front fender has a huge bit missing out of it, and the indicator light has a bit of the orange lens gone (indicator still works fine though). The major, however, is that the right bar has become twisted back, which means I have to point them right to go straight. I've bought …

Afternoon Everyone I am looking at getting an R6 as my first bike early next year so I though I would join a forum so I can gather some information before I spend my money I am more into my Retro Bikes and Cars but figured as a first bike, something slightly newer might be a better idea So if anyone fancies offering up some info on R6's, I will be looking at earlier ones due to a restricted budget. Cheers Sammo
