At the show today there was a stand on the National Youth Bike. Never heard of it before and I think that its great as it encourages the young ones into our beloved mode of transport.

Just ordered a pair of Hornee kevlar jeans (well combats actually), and was wandering what you chaps think of kevlar jeans? Anyone here had their skin saved by them? I got them mostly for motorway use. Last summer and autumn I was riding wearing just ordinary jeans or combats, and If I'd had a spill at 70mph that would have been very painful until my skin would have grown back! The other option is of course leather, which I could find at a decent price, about £65ish on amazon, but only in black (my leather jacket and boots are brown). So went for the Hornees instead.

  13. So, had a look around and everything looks pretty much the same, I guess it all comes down to how well you look after the battery. I've seen these 'Motobatt' units advertised around and was wondering if any had any experience of them, they're only a few quid more than Yausa etc..any thoughts? Cheers in advance peeps!

  14. Morning all Just a quick few lines to catch up with you lot. I think it was towards the end of November when I last posted so I would imagine that a lot of you will be cringing now knowing that I have a couple of months worth of blah blah to bang on about but sadly, no. Nothing to exciting to report really. The usual slowed me down from posting and keeping up with everybody's projects. Christmas, work, etc etc. You know the score. I have kept dropping in from time to time seeing how everyone was but just from google so I have been around, just not putting any of my ramblings on the screen As for my trusty DT, she's well and currently in a slow cha…

Hi guys I am interested in buying an XS11 as a project bike. Unfortunately the bike is not licensed and the current owner does not know what model it is or the year of manufacture. I have tried to do a few Google searches, but none of the models I have seen look the same as the one in the pics. What stumps me is the seat and handlebars. If someone could please identify what model this XS is and the year I would really appreciate it. The VIN no. is 3X1-000288

  17. There's a new motorcycle gear shop opening in Weston Super Mare next monday (27th feb 2012) JDL Motorcycle Gear is owned and run by Kevan Scott (head Marshall at weston Bike Night) and his family they supply everything motorcyclists might need (except for the bikes). He's got TEA and CAKES too! even on Sundays, so worth dropping in for that alone! Stock includes Helmets, Clothing, Spares, filters, Batteries and loads more. Have a look at their web site http://www.jdlgroup.eu/10.html The shop is pretty easy to find......... Coming from Bridgwater: A370 Bridgwater road - Turn right (at the Hospital roundabout) onto the Broadway - Turn Left at the mini roundabo…

Hey peeps! with my pending departure overseas it seems i have already spent my bonus, behold the glory of my latest toy, 17k on the clock and a few extra toys added on for good measure It was my dads bike about 7 years ago, he rode it for a while and parked it up under cover in the garage... where it stayed for 5 years until i decided it would be a respectable step up from the rattley battle-scarred XJ600, managed to dig it out from under the crap that has accumulated in the garage today and after installing a fresh battery and turning the fuel tap to the on position (the XJ has a vac operated tap, im not used to this!) it fired into life and ran perfectly,…
