I was in touch with a mate a few days ago and kind of approached the subject of taking a week off from the rat race and doing a bit of touring around the emerald isle to visit a few mates and generally have a good old time. Needless to say he took me up on the offer {what more could you ask for good roads, friendly locals, and proper guinness not to mention some of the grub}. I was kind of thinking about the trip today and It suddenly dawned on me that I’m absolutely useless at figuring out what I need to take with me {don’t get me wrong I’ve got it right sometimes and got it biblically wrong on other occasions}. Hence why I’m asking this question to everybody …

Hi, woundering if somebody could help me out, i have recently bought a dtr 125 07 , the starter motor had gone on it so i took it to a shop to be repaired and he said it was beyond repairable. So i bought one Second hand off ebay , 100 quid . I fitted the starter motor, it fired no problem , took it out for a ride then stopped for 5 minutes for a quik break tried starting and it wouldnt work. Sounds like its spinning but nothing else. Tried it a few minites later it worked :s but now its not working then working then not etc. i dont know why the bike is eating starter motors, any help would be appriciated, thanks scott.

Hi all, really chuffed, Mod 1 test done and passed - not too much of an issue, cant count how many controlled stops and swerves I practiced but it all shows that repetition really does work. Mod 2 test booked for next Friday

Hi, I am trying to get hold of a YBR start button (literally just the plastic part) as mine fell off and landed some where on the road. My local yamaha dealer will only sell me the whole unit which is something ridiculus like £50. I thought it was maybe possible to get one from a breakers but im not sure where to start. Any help is appreciated, Thanks, Travis

DVLA arent being any help, bouncing from one department & form to another, then back again. Anyone able to point us in the right direction? Is there a website anywhere that might be useful? Thanks in advance! Vic

I've had bad luck with searching for good 125 cruisers, the 4 main japanese makes seem not to make them anymore, and the ones still about are either high milage or rusted beyond belief, I've found brand new chinese bikes, but people always say they are crap, but at least you can start as you mean to go on. I can buy a chinese bike brand new for a nice price, I can keep it greased up and try to avoid rain, I can break it in myself, change the oil as I like and keep it at good scratch. I had a huoniao that lasted me, until I took my exhausts off for like the 10th time and ended up migrating some thread holes and bending some stuff by over tightening I cant affo…

Any one watching the new cafe racer program ? Got some knob head smugly promoting himself and his company by cutting up a spotless cb750 sandcast model, and putting a mono shock on with Beringer inboard front disks. the bike looks nice, but FFS use the later model. A sandcast CB recently went on ebay for $41,000 people kept calling him and offerd to give him 4 later cb750's to stop him doing it.

First things first: Not a crash Bike is fine Doing a left turn at a junction. Hit a piece of plastic halfway through the turn and it took the back wheel. the piece of plastic was flung out behind me due to the wheel spinning. When the wheel caught traction again the resulting jolt did something to my back. Managed to get home but my back hurts
