    Redex

grouch you dont need to be exact with the measurements i pour it straight into the carbs now and again with the engine running on tick over gives of a whole lot of crap from the exhausts but thats it doing its job just add a little four or 5 caps full when you fill up for a couple of fill ups that way any crap in the system clears without any residual damage

    New Gloves

if you go down the surgical gloves route take a couple of pairs with you they do work but only for a limited time as when your hand sweats(unless you got the glove with talk in them)they go cold lasts for an hour or so big difference me i use snobo gloves with rubber under them hands like toasties ps i also heat up my gloves on radiator before going out lol
  13. $500 .......jeez i would be looking for a complete bike
  14. i would advise putting some "redex" into your petrol as well after being stood for 10 months the carbs may have some crap in them redex will help to clear it try that before stripping the carbs
  15. normally changing the colour of a bike will maybe not enhance the value but it will enhance the intrest as normally a resprayed bike has no rust or panel issues(if its done right lol) i've just done mine ready for airbrushing
  16. my friend had the same problem with his cbr600 problems found were faulty plugs and faulty plug connectors apperently they're bad for corroding causing misfires and non starting
  17. hey folks i found this link some may find usefull the reason i found it is i need a new set of bars for my xv535 and my friend gave me a set from his dragstar before task attacks me haha i seen your posts on the subject lol well the bars he gave me measure 1" which agrees with the table seems some dragstars have 22mm bars(task) and others have 25mm just thought i'd post this link in case anyone else has the same prob http://www.sideroadcycles.com/ImportedMotorcycles/ImportHandlebars/StockBarsOne.html

good luck when the day comes
  21. sadly wrong like an MOT cert the only time the paperwork is 100% valid is at the time of issue the bike could have been tampered with at any time after the issue by anyone with little skills so in that manner the engineer would not be held responsible what the law would have to do is prove you knew that you were riding without the restrictor(ignorance) if the police suspected this all they can do is issue a ticket that you must getthe bike checked and get it stamped by an mot station and return the proof to them most cops upon seeing the restriction paperwork will just nod and forget(unless they catch you doing 150mph lol) after all its not something they can check at the roadside as like your mot .....the mot is only 100% valid at time of issue due to the fact that mechanical parts can fail at any time so the examiner cannot be held responsible after the fact so i wasn't being stupid in my statement only being factual i've been riding long enough to know loopholes the only advice i would give you grouch is go out for a play on a big bike and get to know the power your dealing with and as for your confidence ..........you go for it your obviously ready to move up good luck whichever way you go
  22. there is one other option to consider.............. the way i done it go for the restricted test get the bike you want and either get it restricted(with the paperwork important!!) then rip the restrictor out if you get stopped by the manky mob make sure and carry the restriction paper with you that way they'll check it at roadside and your on your way or if they check the bike and find its not restricted then plead innosence and say thats the way you bought the bike in good faith sadly not all of us live in a legal world....
