to the forum Buck I've got a 3.00 on the front of my XT & a 5.10 in the rear. Generally speaking, you can usually get away with up-sizing the tire widths by 1 size without any clearance issues.

to the forum Mark 1st of all.....make sure & tighten those clamps on the intake rubbers! 2ndly......alot of your starting woes could be caused by your jetting being "off" from a lack of airbox. Going up a coupla sizes on your main jets could be a step in the right direction.

Over here.....the FJ600 was introduced in '84-'85.....then in '86, the FZ600 came out.....basically an FJ motor shoe-horned into the old FZ400 frame & chassis. Always thought the FJ600 would make a great Sport-Tourer......& the FZ600 may have been uncomfortable, but it handles like it's on Rails!

I believe FJ's were only made in 600, 1100, & 1200cc displacements. 100 quid for a XJ550 sounds like a fair deal........as long as everything's there?

If this bloke can tour OZ on a 110cc Postie ........ Check It Out Then there's NO reason you couldn't do something similar on a 50 there Steve.......Go For It mate!!!

to the forum Nice collection of Vintage Dirtbikes you've got there RockOut This site has been great for sourcing parts for my XT.......MOTOGRID Generally, their parts go for @ least 1/3 less than any dealer (including shipping to your door ) Best part is the exploded views like a microphiche......helps alot seeing what you're after. Definitely get the YZ running!.....You'll be glad you did.
