i have a tom tom go 930 and ive just bought a ram mount but i was thinking about sorting out some sort of constant power....... i thought about using the tom tom riders battery power cable but the connection looks different....... does any one know of a method of giving my tom tom powervia the motorbikes 12v battery???? thanks

might be a silly question but where do i look for a engine oil glass on a 2002 Yamaha DT125r.... ive had a quick look today on the bike but didnt seem to spot it... iv looks on the manual and it shows the pic but i still cant seem to locate it on my bike... any ideas....???? also i aint got the steering lock key ... any ideas on where i can get a replaceemnt barrel or key for the steering lock???

hiya many thanks for the advice.... whats about the questions where can i get a list of possible questions...??? what are the manouvers???? how will the examiner rember if ive made any mistakes... he aint got anywhere to write notes....?? anything else for me to know..... i understand that mirrors e,t,c are MAJOR in the exam but any other classic faukts that people fail on ????

i passed my theory today and now i got to think about the practical... basicaly now the way i ride is that i only overtake cars in slow trafic on the left side...... but normally in traffic lights e.t.c i always wait behind other cars, as is i was another car...... i was wondering when i go to the practical exam do i have to ride and when appoching trafic lights e.t.c do i over take cars to the front of the queue or do i just wait behind other cars as is i was another car???? any other tips... im gonna be doing the exam on my 52 plate Yamaha DT125R..... and firstly i need to gain more confidence on the road as i used to offroad terrain and no speedlimits... any top tips????? for passing the exam....... what manuvers do they ask me to do??? do they have that show me tell me ?? that they do for cars????

Hi , i recencly started to ride a motorbike and now ive come to the problems of parking a motorbike.... in a pay and display zone... most places i go that i used to be able to just lock up my pedal bike now i have to park and pay and display ... but how do i do that for a motorbike???? if i buy the ticket ... some one will just nick it and put it in their car.... what should i do?? my mates said that what he does is he buys a ticket and puts it in his wallet... when he retruns is theres no ticket then OK fine... but if theres a ticket he jsut sends them the penalty notice and the ticket he bought.... whats the best method to park in a pay and display area if there are not motorcycle bay near.... loads of car bay but not many motorcycle bays in south london near southwark...

dunno i havent checked.. but my local garage told me that its perfectly normal for a 2 stroke ... and that i have to maybe change my dt125r's front pipe as it may be cloged up.... but the dt125r i have in portugal dont have this problem ......... any other ideas as to what may be causing the prob????

On the way home from my college i got about 500 meteres away and then the bike died... And no matter what i tried i could not get it back up again.....it would try to start when i kick started it...and maybe start but then just die.... ran with the bike in 2nd and 3rd gear but nothing.... i have no electric start only kick start i always turn off the tap but i think some one might have been messing around with it ... every so often when im on the parking side of the building i hear my disc alarm lock go off... the colleges smoking area is ther... and i think ppl are messing with the bike... Had to push my 2 stroke dt125r all the way to my local garage which was 6 miles away... Oh how i wish i took out my insurance's breakdown policy.... now im having a rethink... might take the policy... And they had to put new spark plugs in and unflood the engine.... cost me £20. Is there and advice on how to prevent the engine from flooding in the future... Ive been told to NOT accelarate while kick starting the bike because it "floods" the engine.. Is it true?

why is my bike giving out tooo much smoke...... i have a dtr in portugal and it dont give out that much smoke when you open the full throttle, and the smoke it gives is much clearer...... and the one i have here in the uk its over the top.... pure white mayvbe grey ish smoke from the rear... my bag from college stinks of exhaust fumes.... every day i gotta empty the bag and hang it out the window and at night stick it in the boiler room and then the next day bam..... smell free bag.... what could the problem be....??? when i look on the road not that much fumes are comming from the bike..... its only a 52 plate with 6k on the clock... please lemme know... please lemme know....

ive got a 2002 yamaha dt125r just bought about a week ago ... but whats the best 2 stroke oil to give the bike??? or is it all the same??? i dont know anything about this semi or synthetic oil stuff like ive been reading in the web .... thought i could get some professonal experianced advice here....... and what about petrol??? super or just plan unleaded??? which is better also how do i delete old posts ive created??

Does anyone know where i can get some road legal aftermarket headlights and headlight plastics....... please lemme know its for a Yamaha DT125R year 2002 Model also how do i delete old posts from this forum??? cant seem to find the delete button LOL....

just bought a 52 plate yamaha DT125r but.... It Has: * no rear mirrors.... *back indicators dont work (ill get them fixed, and they are not the original ones, but the front indicators work... maybe a cock up in the wiring...) *speedo has been removed but i have it... and need to buy a speedo cable *original headlights have been removed.... and aftermarket ones put in.... *DEP exhaust is this bike road legal in the condition that its in ??? i know that i need to get the rear indicators fixed but apart from that can i drive without the original speedo and headlight?? and no rear mirrors??? i have a GPS Garmin 305 and a garmin Edge 605 GPS Speedometer which works for walking, cycling and motorbike... i could use this.... the seller told me that the bike is road legal but when it comes round to do the mot he puts on the speedo and the original headlights.... becasue you need to see milage and check if needles work and the front headlight needs to be original.... and made from glass... is this true? please lemme know asap... P.S paid £1,200 for the 52 plate DT125R....
