Hi all, New member, been riding my 950 midnight date for a year now and have loved every minute. She's not let me down once and has been some of the most enjoyable riding I've done in 15 years riding bikes. Looking forward to to getting to know some of you a little better over the next few months Cheers Richie

If any of you remember at the end of summer I completed my dragster bobber build and had it mot'd and on the way home the engine broke. This is such an understatement as everything that could of broke with the engine did lol. After a lot of swearing and asking for help and advice Robo (member of this group) came round to mine to lend a hand he got the bike running but it didn't sound good so we took the engine apart and realised that the previous owner must have known nothing about motorbikes and abused this bike no end, the engine was f&£ked and beyond repaire. That hit hard as I had spent a year building her. This is why you get the engine running first, a big…

Hi all, just like to say, I don't really use forums, so try to be nice I would also like to find a fabricator, as I am paralysed in my right arm and would like to have a custom made adaptor to fit some motor-bikes, without having to buy and change things on any bike I ride, but I am in the process of changing this one. I have been riding for over 40 years (many scars to prove it) and lost the use of my arm in a motor-bike accident 30 years ago. Still own and ride bikes, the problem is not the UK, but other countries. I would like to find someone that is really up for the task, as I know it won't be straight forward, but more than possible, if you have the righ…

Good evening, I've just given an old XJ600 Diversion a new home. Am an old geezer looking to get my hands dirty and get this old lady up and running. It's a 1998 1 owner with 28000 on the clock with a full history. Need a brake lever, rear caliper broken nipple. The plan is to pull it apart and re assemble. So forgive me in advance for the questions which will no doubt be on their way, Anyway, look forward to being on here

Hi Guys, Im Kyle, live in Newcastle and bought my first bike last year a 2007 yamaha YBR 125. I love this bike and its been really reliable so far. the bike had been neglected after a friend had a accident ( not bike related ) and was unable to ride it for sometime so it had just been sitting outside. we live by the coast and i guess the salt air had been eating away at it. i pretty much stripped the bike down and sanded all the rust off, primed and sprayed the frame, wheels and forks and it looks great. Problem i had was with the exhaust. i did sand this back as much as possible filled a small hole and then sprayed with exhaust paint. All was fine but the rep…

Hi guys, I'm really new to the forums and I've just acquired an old Yamaha XT600 E (3TB) from 1994. It looks quite bad and first I want to have it up and running as it should then move on to the restoration plan. It was bought from a small mountain village where it has been abused quite a lot from what it looks like. The price was fair and I know I will have to invest twice or maybe triple that amount to have it in a decent condition. First things first: - the uni-sens bearing from the electric start died instantly and its turning but not engaging. (the bike is at a service shop at this moment for fixes beyond my qualification) - the handle bar is bent…

I am the owner of an 05 YBR125, the first model year. Is there anyone out there with a 2005 or 2006 carb YBR. The CDI is dead & an approaching bill is as welcome as a boot in the nut-sack. The OEM CDI unit has eight pins and the only replacement units I have encountered have six pins. What is the layout of the 8 and 6 pin units?

Hey everyone, I just got my second Yamaha enduro, and I know from previous experience building my first bike (a Honda cb650) that forums are a crucial source of experience when trying to nail down certain things that might not be specific enough to be covered in a manual, or too old to find parts for. I picked up an 82 XT200 a few months ago. No papers, but it holds up well off road... well enough for my needs anyway haha. Then, a week ago, I had an opportunity to trade off a blown up Suzuki for a 1978 DT175, almost complete with 2 parts motors. Needless to say, I made the trade! Now here I am. Looking forward to learning lots, and contributing where I can! Chee…
