HI all Newbie just found this site and was hoping it could help :hail: Looking for a Brake Caliper Right hand Side. Just aqquired the bike and was doing the brakes and when I went to bleed it I realised too late that the nipple had seized. I have tried eazy outs and snapped the bloody thing flush I tried to drill it out but overdone it and drilled too deep hence Ballax caliper. Anyone know where I could obtain a replacement shes a twin disc and it has to be a right hand fitting.

OK....here's the info: Left the house at 10am and got to Swindon just before 1pm. 45 miles of B Roads, then 80 miles of Motorway. My grey/ginger head got a right battering on the way up....particularly over the Severn Bridge! So I got to Swindon, had a coffee, did the biz, and left at 2pm. What's the TDM like? I used to have a 2007 R6 - which came with a solo seat cowl and some blanking plates for the pillion pegs. I now have a 2008 R6 - which came with neither. Are pillion peg blanking plates available for the 2008 R6 - on first look, the 2006/2007 ones won'r fit.

First time i have ever serviced a bike, seemed to have gone ok but the running temp of my R6 has dropped from 82 to 76 is this ok, as my old R6 run at 82 as well

Can anyone supply technical info or or spec modifications (or advise where info and pictures can be obtained) on the DT125 and YZ 125 off road models- The info required is from the year (approx) when the DT model changed from air to liquid cooled, up until 2005. Hi returned to my time on the bike after a few years away...kids..mortgage...etc and have bought a FZR 600 genesis it being my old fave from years ago, However, at low speeds sort of 10mph to 45-50 mph it grunts and slightly splutters like there is no power there but when I twist the throttle hard it jumps in to life and runs like a dream .. also runs well for top speeds and for many an hour, however even after a good days ride every time it drops down to 10-50 mph it stumbles and just does not feel right.. any ideas or am i just a paranoid rider?? Oh forgot to say i do not know a jot about engines/mechanics and all that..as you may well be guessing!!

hi im new to this forum but wondered if anyone had any idea what the normal engine temperature should be on a yzf 600 thundercat 1998. the only reason i ask is that last week i took mine up to scotland and have never used it in the cold before but normally the gauge reads about 60 degrees c but when i went up north it dropped to about 40 degrees c and started missfiring. all the lads at work say there bikes are normally running about 75- 80 degrees c and dont fall much below this when on the move. when the temp on my bike drops it starts to missfire but when i stop and the temperature rises it stops missfiring. my suspisions lie with the thermostat or lack of t…

Hi Guys , new to the board but from what I've seen so far I'm sure it will come in very handy over the next few months. Anyway, wondering if you guys might be able to help me, well the xs650 guys anyway. Can anyone tell me if the xs650 special/ custom shared the same frame/chassis with the roadster type bikes or indeed can anyone tell me what differences there were between the custom models and the roadster type bikes ? for example was it the same chassis just longer forks and bigger wheels. Hi all, just after a bit of advice really; Got an 08 r6 beginning of march, after putting down a deposit, the amount on 0% credit is £6100. made a payment so now down to £5900. right the reason for my post: it has been announced at work possible redundancy, and if i am laid off, i wont be able to keep up the repayments on the r6, so would have to sell. I dont know where i stand with taking the bike back, if the dealership would "buy back" the bike ( to be honest if i lost the £1500 ive already paid, it would be more peace of mind for me knowing the bike had been paid off) or if another garage would offer me more? Hi peeps thought I would register instead of being one of them guest numbers. I am riding a 2001 YZF R6 now, well its mates bike to be honest. He's not passed his test yet, bought it, cant ride it so I am Really impressed with the R6. Its a great bike to ride and handles really well. Will def get one myself when I get another bike.
