Hi Everyone, Just thought I would say hello to you all. I have been riding over a while now and this year bought my first Yamaha. Its a fazer 600 SP2 and to be honest its one heck of a bike. previously I had 2 bandits which were great bikes but not a patch on this. After reading reviews I decided on a change. Not one regret. On Thursday, a few friends and me are off to Germany for 5 days, so cant wait to wind it up on the Auto Bhan. Watch this space for pictures. Hopefully we're going to get to the Nurburgring, but you know how it goes! To be honest, little bit nervous as never ridden abroad before and any advice would be apreciated. Anyway.Hi to you all. …

hey, im looking for some advice as its my first post of many i hope.. im about to complete my direct access course and i like the look of the R6 very much. Is this an okay for my first bike? I've been driving cars for over 10 years now but its my first bike. I get different opinions from different people. Some people say the R6 is not very forgiving so im a bit worried now. Having said that im not stupid, and these people are probably talking about when really pushing it which I wont be doing.. Any opinions about this? Many thanks,

Hi all, Thought I'd pop in and introduce myself. After 7 years of nagging, the wife has finally relented and let me get another bike, Woohoo!! My last bike was a fzr1000 genesis, which I loved to bits so I just bought a '89 FZR600 genesis, (you're not having anything bigger than a 600.... yes dear!!). URL=http://www.picoodle.com/view.php?img=/3/9/6/f_DSCF0017m_9fe1b3f.jpg&srv=img27] Anyways, as you can see, she was in a bit of a state (bike not wife... tho now you mention it), so, 10 days, lots of stripping cleaning renewing and painting later..... and she's looking pretty good, yes thats the kitchen, yes I'm in trouble, big time!! …

Hi, There are a few different types of gloves available but as the seasons' just changing which ones would be best? I'm feeling the short style summer ones would be ok for the moment but I'm not sure how much use I would get out of them. Do I really need winters' already? Cheers.

The bike has and will be kept dry as I only use the bike for pleasure. CBT was a bind as I never needed one with my first bikes (D.S.A. £ ???) Taken CBT ... july 08 Theory ... july 08 Regards, Romec…

..following on from advice i read o this site i went in search of the Petrol Tank overflow valve which is supposed to restict airflow through the tank (creating a vacuum and possible flat-spots on the power curve). Here's how it's done: Remove pillion seat (one nut) Remove seat (2 allen bolts) Remove single Petrol tank securing bolt (or 2 separate bolts on underside of frame) and lift rear of tank slightly to loosen it. Slide tank backwards about 2 inches (so forward mount slides off rubber seat mount) Pull off rubber seat Remove 8mm bolt securing black plastic cover protecting filter area Remove left hand plastic cover by unclipping top joint (which joins both p…

A jap import which shares many parts with FZ600 1986-1989. It was taken off the road last year due to a duff starter motor. This was rebuilt and fitted, but that is as far as it got. I have robbed a few parts for my 600 so it not really viable to put it back on the road. I also have a spare FZ600 engine. Regards Mark.

Hi to all at the club. I have recently bought a 1988 RD 350 power valve. It has been running OK but recently when off the powervalve 0-6500 rpm it mis fires and there is little power as soon as I get it on the power valve it goes like a rocket. I have removed the carbs, cleaned and reset, I have checked all the ignition side and given it a full service. Some times it drops on to one cylinder gor 4 miles or so then comes back on. I cant seem to cure the problem. I am not sure if it needs a de-coke or if there is something else I should be looking at. Can anyone shine some light for me and point me in the right direction. My local dealer has all th…

I did it!! I went on the back of my boyfriend's R1. It is great, all my fears were unwarranted. I really love going on the bike. We went all the way to Brands to see the Superbikes. I've been there before but never seen the bikes race. It was amazing. It was a desperate shame about Craig Jones, my sympathies to his friends and family. I think there is a very good chance that I will be applying to take my test in the not too distant future. I now understand what ALL the fuss is about LOL!!! Maria
