Hi all , i'm Rob , just joined up a moment ago as i've just bought a old 1987 fz600 off of ebay (i mean literally just bought it , not even picked it up yet) , so thought i would have a gander and see what its like on here , and if any one has a bit of knowledge of the fz600 i.e. common faults and problems to watch for , any advice would be very much appreciated .

Hi all, I am planning on buying a wr450 and would just like as much advice as I can get on them before I buy one. I have a couple of specific questions but in addition to that any information would be welcomed: How long do the engines last for if properley serviced How often do you have to service them Is there a particular model and year to avoid or aim for Are there any particular things to look at when viewing to buy Does the overall design change after a certain year What are the pros and cons of the wr450 Would really appreciate any advice, I am planning on riding on road and green laning. Many Thanks Burge.

Hi, my mate has a 2002 R6 and needs new tyres. He doesnt have access to the net, what do you recommend for all round usage. Im thinking Dunlops but he got told by a RR rider to go for bridgestones. Mainly country road blasting than motorway or out. Thanks

Had a fantastic ride out today, apart from a few minor discrepancies... Start of the ride some dick slams his anchors on to avoid a Feasent.... Bang my mate clips his flank ripping his R6 in half! (He's ok) So we wait about an hour he goes home, we set off again! Unreal ride... Just going round a big long roundabout into the town i live, like iv done a hundred times! then oh no don't look now the dreaded patch of oil! Dropped the bike about 40mph, slid watching as the bike spun into the curb... Nice!

  12. Just curious as I'm selling my YBR125 at the moment and have advertised it in a few places. However, I was wondering if a dealer would buy it even if I wasn't trying to buy one off them? I realise they'd only offer me crappy trade prices but this may give me more flexibility to buy a bike privately since there are much better deals out there to be made on private sales at the mo (if buying used).

  14. Mate of mine is doing a charity ride to Peru and one of her sponsors is the Army. The White Helmets donation to the ride is a free off road training weekend at Bovington Camp in Dorset...... and I have been invited along Always wanted to have a go at this, I love mountain biking and skiing and was always up to my neck in muck as a kid so I reckon this is going to be a fun weekend. Just waiting for the bumpf to come through the post, but any experienced mud skidders on here can offer some words of wisdom so I get the most out of the 2 days ?

Hello everyone!! I just got in from my first ride on my 1987 (or 89... I'm not sure!) Yamaha Radian 600. It rode very nice! I traded it for an old GMC pickup truck, and I LOVE it. It's very sharp, and has 5,500 miles logged. My first (of many, I'm sure) questions is this: What maintenance should I perform right now? The last guy owned it for about a year, and he didn't even know where to put oil in, which pains me. I'm a Land Rover owner and I love working on stuff- so if there is a list of maintenance that all new owners should perform, I'd love to see it! THANK YOU, everyone!! -NewB
