Here is a 'HOW TO' that I did for another forum.............

Here you will find a step by step guide to uploading your pictures, photographs, scans and other files to your Forum posts.

The best way of doing this is via a hosting site - in this case we are talking about Photobucket (but there are others) and this guide refers only to that site.

1.
Set yourself up with a Photobucket account (it is free) and log yourself into it:

2.
Once you are in to your account, on the top menu bar you will see the word 'upload'.
Click once on this word:

pb2_zpsba74489a.jpg

3.
This will take you to the next screen where you will see a button in the middle 'Browse Files'
Click on this button:

4.
A sub-window showing the directories and files on your computer will appear.
Search through your computer via this window until you have found the image you want to upload and click on it. You can select multiple images by holding down the 'ctrl' key and clicking on each file in turn should you wish.
Here we have selected only one:

5.
Once you have selected your file(s), they will upload to Photobucket and when ready they will display in the Library. At this point, add a name in the box below the image that you will recognise:

Once this is done, click on the 'View Library' button to see the uploaded images.

6.
Here you can now see the uploaded image in the 'Library', alongside earlier uploaded images. You can set preferences as to the order in which the images are displayed - my preference is for 'Newest First':

7.
To then be able to post your image onto your Forum message, hover your pointer arrow (mouse etc.) over the cog-wheel symbol in the top right hand corner of the image. This will then open a 'drop-down menu' where you will see the words 'Get Links'.
Click on these words:

8.
By doing this, a further menu is displayed showing a list of available link code for you to choose from, to enable you to post your image to the Forum.
The one to select is right at the bottom labled 'IMG codes':

PB8_zpsf6d5281d.jpg

Click ONCE on the line of code below the heading 'IMG codes'. You will see the box containing the code flash once or twice. This shows that the code has been copied to your computer's memory.

9.
Now revert back to the Forum topic you were originally intending to add a photo to.
As the Image Code is currently stored in your computer's memory, all you have to do to retrieve the photo is click once in the space where you are to write on the Forum topic, then 'Right Click' on your mouse - this will then bring up the standard windows menu where you will see the word 'Paste'. Click on 'Paste' and you will then see your photo's code appear:

10.
Finally, carry on and finish whatever it was you wanted to say on the topic.
Once you have finished, click on the 'Create Post' button as usual and then voila!!!

Your image will be posted for all to enjoy. smiley.png

with that one you nee the IMG tag at the beginning and an "ending" IMG tag like this /IMG they all have [ ] either side too.

for some stupid reason, photobucket has taken away the easy bit when they "upgraded" the site
