That did cross my mind for a minute,
-
It's the TPS, i've had the same on my 2000, the part is expansive i think i paid about £70 from yamaha, and it's really, really hard to swap over, it's located on the right top side of the engine right in between the engine and the frame with no space to work at all, you will need a special tool or you will have to make one like I did, there are only two nuts you have to undo but the bottom one is a f.....ing pain, good luck.

That 1st one really brings back bad memories, that's exactly how i've spent few days in a hospital, good advert non the less and should be shown a lot more.

I was under the impression that the signature was on the yellow part of the tank only. http://www.campusanuncios.com/picanuncio/v...-1589459802.jpg

Learn to blip the throttle when down shifting and you'll be able to down shift at the highest RPM smooth and without worrying about locking up the rear, start practicing at low RPM and then work your way up, have a look here, http://www.sportrider.com/ride/rss/146_040...ttle/index.html Hope it helps.

In a straight line you'll win just about every time, I haven't come across any car yet that could take on the R1, when it comes to the corners a good driver with a good car will win. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=5DoFEV0c1jc&...feature=related http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=RwNSDEX84H8&...feature=related http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=OteDZBuisfM&...feature=related

Thats the way i do it, and when cleaning you may as well make sure the chain slack is as it should be, it will help make it last longer as well.
-
I've always used WD40 to clean and Castrol chain lube to lube, got 27000 miles out of my R1 chain with out any problem, the only reason I've changed it was due to the front sprocket not looking it's best, every two weeks I give it a quick clean, if you do it regurally it wont take long and the chain will last for a long time.

2am, empty motorway and my speedo showing 180mph made me say it.

I've always been using WD40 to clean and Castrol to lube the chain, got 27000 miles out of it on my R1, so seems to work well

Very hard and dangerous job, you can earn £300-£400 a week on hand if you’re prepared to spend 10 hours a day on a bike, I live and ride in London and it's no fun at all, it will test your riding skills to the max and beyond, a lot of courier companies will be able to hire a bike for you and I would recommend doing so, do not use your own bike as you would be doing a lot of miles and most likely get knocked off at some point. Some of the couriers my company uses will do up to 1500 miles a week in and outside of London, now that’s what you call an iron butt.

hahahahaha, the last 24 secs really made my day

I've been riding in London for 7 years and never ever paid a parking fee or a ticket, I usually find a space somewhere on the side or even pavement, if the bike is not in anyones way the traffic wardens won’t bother with it.
