  1. All Sorted now, i had flooded it due to trying to start it with a flat battery. Glad that was a simple fix . Thanks for any replies.
  2. Hi all, I have a 2005 R6 (R46) Rossi rep. The bike was garaged over winter with the battery plugged into a conditioner. I started using it a few weeks ago however the battery (6 years old) did not hold a charge for very long, and if I didn't ride it for a few days it went flat. I disconnected the old battery and replaced it with a brand new one (Yuasa YT9B-BS) as recommended by my Yamaha dealer. The battery was charged for 24 hours. I went to use the bike this morning and the alarm deactivated as normal, the lights, dials etc would power up, I could hear the fuel pump priming and the bike turned over quickly. The only problem is that it wouldn't fire up! I tried turning it over a few times with no luck, it just wouldn't start. I could smell unburnt fuel from the exhaust. Before I replaced the battery (when it wasn't flat) the bike started with no problems. It has a Meta M357t alarm and Immobiliser fitted. Can anyone please shed some light on what the problem might be? Thanks, Paul
  3. Hi guys, I know there is a recent thread about tyre choice, but i didnt want to butt in on that one... I bought my r46 fitted with a pair of Michelin Pilot Power 2 cts front and rear. The previous owner of the bike ( a good mate) swore by them. Im due for a new rear tyre and the front has plenty of life left in it. My question is how much should i be looking to pay for a rear including fitting, and should i replace both front and rear at the same time? The front still has loads of life left in it...Im intending to do some track days this summer, so i think i will go for the 2cts again. A good choice? Also one final thing, does anyone else have rattly front brake pads? i have been trying to track down the noise for ages and have finally located it! Thanks, Paul.
  4. Hi guys, Im thinking about changing the current set up on the rear of my bike as the previous owner fitted a cheapy tail tidy, and led rear light with integral indicators. These indicators are poop in daylight, so i was just wondering if any of you guys have pics/recommendations of tail tidy's/indicators that i should think about..shall i run standard indicators with a tail tidy, or go for some smalller ones?..I also have a query regarding the rear light-if i revert back to normal indicators, shall i just disconnect the led ones, or change the rear light back to the standard one? cheers, Paul.

Hi all, Im new around here, but thought i would join up and say hi! I have just bought an 05 R46, that my friend has owned since new..and i love it. The bike has just gone into my local Yamaha dealer for a full service, and they mentioned that it should have a rear seat cowl with it, with Rossi's signature on it..Is this correct? If anyone can shed any light on this, that would be great... Here's my new toy:)
