  1. I set off at 5.30am and head west into town and there is a definite glow of the rising sun in mirrors now Just need the hurricanes to settle down so I can sit upright again
  2. Great to hear you're back on the road again Chopper, all the best for tomorrow
  3. COLD ???? You gotta be kidding Been positively spring-like down here past few days, loads of bikes out at the weekend, was nodding like a noddy thing
  4. I use Urad, this and Renapaur are great for preserving and waterproofing bike leathers and boots and don't leave a slippery surface.
  5. Hi matey and welcome to the wonderful world of riding
  6. Hi Ryan , welcome aboard. And guess what ... I've been to Allentown, well through it (Go to Hershey and Carlisle auto fairs) That's a cracking example of a lovely bike, hope you have some suitable weather to really enjoy it this summer
  7. I'm no angel, but I do find posts like that rather offensive, let me know when you have sorted the crud filter out and I'll be back. Oh and BTW Goff & co spend a lot of time and effort running this forum, your membership is an invitation not a right, so kindly treat it and the other invitees with some respect.
  8. Muc-Off, a cloth and a hose ... job done
  9. Welcome aboard MJK, sorry to hear about the altercation with the car £1800 to fix a '97 Thundercat, can't believ the insurance company didn't write it off, that'd be a good payout for that year Cat. Still she'll be all shiney and new wehn you get her back. Post us some picks when she gets home.
  10. Round my way, and I suspect it the same nation wide, it's all down to the big boss cop, if he thinks it's worth allocating the resources and there is a keen team of bike cops then it runs. We're lucky in Suffolk to have such a pro-biking team of Class 1 riders and a super keen team leader. But they have to keep proving themselves and the value of the course to Boss Cop to keep the funds flowing. BTW ... If anyone is in Suffolk area you might bump into me at a Bikesafe day as I'll be there on a couple of Saturdays scrounging a free lunch and waving the local IAM group flag
  11. Cracking looking R6, I'll keep an eye out for you over the summer Reckon a set of these would look rather tasty on that .... http://www.cyclemall.net/images/gilles_rearset.gif Busters do a gold chain adjuster too.
  12. Pretty sure you can restrict the Ace either way, why do you ask is the Ace restricted now or something you want to do ?
  13. Congrats Vic May cost you a bit in the early days, but great investment for later years, just think of all those spare rides you'll have to choose from PS Carole Nash do some good multi-bike policies
  14. I thought I was mis-reading there for a mo, Kelly, 5'2'' gotta be a burd I thought Hello all newbies from another short arsed burd
  15. Ohh that means we must be difficult access coz one of them collects our bags
  16. Congrats Matey, they are a cracking looking bike, think Kwakka have done their homework right on this one, shame Yamaha continues to aim the R6 at the 34inch + inside leg riders and the aftermarket retailers ... you need a wad load of cash for aftermarket indicators and tail tidy to make it look half streamlined.
  17. Hey Dave, if I bring my R6 up to you to use as a pattern you could the same for the R6. The ones on ebay are £35 a pair PS i'm in Suffolk too
  18. Looks lovely Goff, wish you many happy miles together. And you ruddy nuts riding that in this weather, I sometimes feel chilly in the summer on my Harley, gimme a snug sportsbike with DB and fairing any winters day
  19. Gas Up ....Have selected your new stead yet? Just someone I know is selling a very nice FZ1 its on an 57 plate, would be in your budget I think
  20. I'm sooo glad I kept my Thundercat, I would put off starting jobs in case they took longer than anticpated (as they always do ) and I would be sans bike for a week. Now I can put some toys on the R6 and not be cage bound if it takes a couple of weekends
  21. It's a bit of a hike if you dont do M4, M25 to be honest, about 160 miles on the A roads. Classic car show at Ally Pally should be on soon, sure it's normally in March. Be all shiney stuff, but should be some club stands where you can have a chat to some bods who have done restos. I'll keep you posted of any shows in your area
  22. Barricade them in with trolleys all linked together, good chance they'll ding their own doors when removing them
