Hi everyone, I am getting my biking career going a little later in life (44),but am really looking forward to it.I am sitting my CBT on Saturday, and when complete I have a Yamaha YZR R125 on order.Went to my mate earlier and he has one.Well impressed with it.Looks so much more than a 125.I rode a few scooters(twist and go) when I was younger, but am going to enjoy proper biking.Goes without saying that safety is paramount, and I will be making sure that I take in everything the instructors tell me on Sat. Anyway nice to be part of the forum Ian

Greetings to one and all. If I may introduce myself, my name is Dan but everyone calls me Bookem. I live in Sakatchewan Canada and own several bikes, NO HARLEYS. I try to build1 or 2 customs each year and have recently strayed into 2 strokes for my chopper needs. Ièm willing to offer any help I can and will also be asking a few questions of my own. I posted a question a couple of days ago in the dirtbike section. All of my builds are posted on youtube under bookem5 . I hope to be able to help some as well as recieve help from others. Thanks for your time Dan Bookem Taylor

Hey folks just took possession of a 1996 Yamaha xj600 diversion and thought I should get together on a forum with other like minded people! Hoping to pick all your brains as I've always ridden cruisers and know nothing about this bike other than the fact I liked the look of it... Cheers Tony

Hey guys, new to the forum, and I have a question. I'm working on a 2000 WR 400 and it's simply not turning over. I've changed the gas, and spark plug on it (thank you Yamaha for the hardest plug in the world to remove,) but still no fire. Now I know that its getting air, and everything mechanical is working properly because it "turns over" when you kick it. So I'm thinking its electrical. Is there any way for me to check the ignition coil(?)? Some basic info, bikes had one owner, and has mostly storage time. Low low low riding hours sense it was bought. I know its not the best on them, but I've even tried the rolling start for it, and nothing. Any help would be GREATLY a…

I would like to say hi to you all as a Newbie. I was born,"up north", many moons ago and I left Britain to seek my fortune when Maggie Thatcher was voted in. Since then I have lived in Germany for 10 years and have now lived in Denmark for 20 years. I have a 12 yr old son and I have just bought him a DT 80 fixer upper and joined this forum to pick your brains, so we can get the new addition up and running. PS.Is thatcher the milk snatcher still around? PPS. The display name should be scouse viking(typo)

Howdy from Texas! Been off 2 wheels for 11 years but got a XVS1100 custom a year ago. Having a blast! Looking forward to getting to know some of you Vstar owners and learning from you. Last bike was an '80 Honda CB750 but love the Yami MUCH more. I wouldn't trade it for the World. 333 (Halfevilman)

Just thought I would say hi to the forum, I'm Andy. Loads of info on here, great site guys! Have some questions and hoping the gurus can solve this one but I'll ask it in the right category. Rode dirt and trials a lot in the youth and trying to get back into it but forgot a lot of the mechanical side of things...lol Cheers!
