Hi Can anyone tell me where the paint codes for my Japanese import TRX are hidden? I'm after the correct white that is on the frame and wheels. Other manufacturers put them on a sticker under the seat somewhere, I've had a good look and there is no trace of that sort of tag being on the bike anywhere. Thanks Bruce

Hi all, I have a 1976 Yamaha 125. When I purchased it the generator/starter didnt work but I could kick start it easily. I took it riding and the battery drained and it died (no charge). I have been working on this part of the bike. The starter part of the assembly now works fine, but I don't know how to tell if the generator assembly is charging. The test I usually perform on the other bikes is to take the positive terminal off the battery and see if the bike dies or keeps running. In the case of the 125 the bike dies. this bike does not seem to have a magneto, but has an inner armature couplewith a stationary assembly with all the wire hookup on it. I purchased so…

Need to know how to set carburetor float on 1974 Yamaha Enduro 400DT. Cleaned carburetor and float and float bowl ran over. Got motorcycle started and engine reved wide open, but would slow down when choked. Set float and motorcycle won't start. Has been sitting for about 2 years. Thanks

I just had the XJR1300 in for it's service, and the dealers gave me the choice of three bikes to take home. All of them had less than 200 miles on the clock, there was a R1, R6 and the new 600 Diversion. Now I've been on R1's and 6's before and to be honest they just don't float my boat at all, so I took the Divvy out under the instruction of using some of the fuel and putting some miles on it. After 40 odd miles I must say that I'm quite impressed with this little bike, sure it's not going to light any fires, it skips about on the rough pot-holed bits but as an entry level bike this is very impressive. looking for any advice regarding my xt 125 .the electric starter wont work ,the starter motor spins but the bike wont fire up.changed starter motor,ignition coil,starter relay but no change.will start with kick starter.spark plug fires when kick startred but not with electric starter. does anyone have any suggestions. look forward to any helpful replies louis

I was wondering if anyone could help me, The piston rings on my bike snapped and have scored the piston and cylinder, could I replace it with a bigger cc engine? Thanks.

Hi every1. Ime a new member on the forum and hope to get stuck in with all the discussions. I dont currently own a bike tho i use to own a 1998 yamaha r1. I loved every minute i was on it but sold it and went down the path of fast cars. Soon realising to get bike performance you need to spend stupid amounts of money!! Even then nothing was a much fun as my old r1. Ime looking to buy another r1 but one thats bin turbo charged. I would love to here from any of you guys who have exsperienced a r1 turbo and could give me there apinions on whether or not this is a good buy or should i say wise purchase? Many thanks jay

Hi All, I am a newbie to the forum and have had my YZF R125 Rossi Race Rep since January 2010 and have covered 100 miles only as have a few cars to play with haha. I am currently based in Plymouth but am moving to Gloucester shortly for work. Hi again....and again Im after help lol I bought some akito leathers to keep me dry when traveling to and fro work ( yes I will look daft on my dtr50 but I will be dry ) they have velcro patches on the knees....Im guessing this is for knee pads or something? does anyone know what goes there and if so please help lol Bert

I recently bought a 1977 xs 750. I have rebuilt the carbs as they were in horrible condition. The bike sounds great now, but it dies as soon as i hit 3,000 rpm. I'm not sure what the problem is. Hi, i'm looking to buy a new Yamaha Aerox R and after reading the specifications page i noticed i didnt understand some of the words used. Hell i have a 1983 Yamaha maxim 400.. how do i know if i have the XS400R or XS400 ? I want to get new NGK iridium plugs and not sure what motor to get them for, as they are different part numbers.
