I need a few jobs done on my Divvy 600 before winter sets in. i.e. brakes, tyres, etc. The place I went to in Melksham doesn't do bike repairs anymore, shame really, because they were brilliant. What I need is somewhere where I can go with the bike beforehand, discuss what I need doing then arrange a date/time so I can leave the bike and pick it up later in the same day, or if necessary the next day. Any help would be apprecated. Cheers Mike

hello any help would be great My son has a spanish bike with a ybr125 engine in it,as you all know this engine is air cooled. He ran the bike low on oil,i mean low less than a 1/4 of a litre, which has brought on a tapping from top end tappets are fine, cam and bearings are ok,i have put oil straight on to the inlet tappet, ran the bike and the noise has gone, but 10 minutes later,it returned,so it can only be that when he ran low on oil,he brought some crap up from the sump.. So my now for my question...is there anyway of clearing the blockage without sripping the head off,can i use a oil flush or would that do more damage,,

So today my engine failed , rather spectacularly ( ive got a post on the workshop with the full story ) I have no idea what is wrong ....... However after pushing my bike for several miles up and down some pretty hefty hills at 10/11pm in the freezing cold my father tells me its all part of being a biker, and it happens to everyone at some point ! Wondered if you guys had any similar stories ? Although i must add ..... 100's of cars past me and didn't stop to ask to see if I was ok or needed a hand ... however 6 out of the 7 bikes which past pulled over and asked if they could help very impressed ! Evening all! Just wondering if anyone is into classic bikes (apart from Yams of course!) I'm lucky enough to get to ride my dads BSA & Velocettes. It's a really different experience but I love it !! Currently restoring a Sun, picked up as a sentimental addition to the garage but turns out it's quite rare. Vic

Hi there I would like to mention my project to catalogue every driving road in the world. To do this I crated the site www.roads2go.com. My goal is it to reach as many motor bikers as possible from all over the world and encourage them to share their experiences on www.roads2go.com. I made the interface as simple and intuitive as possible. I will be glad if you would enter your personal favorites and rate other roads. I entered myself over 100 roads I have driven on. But I have not been everywhere. That is why I am counting on you. Regards Martin

Dunno, got a txt today from a trusted friend Dear All Can you circulate this around especially as Xmas is fast approaching - it has been confirmed by Royal Mail. The Trading Standards Office are making people aware of the following scam: A card is posted through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel Delivery Service) suggesting that they were unable to deliver a parcel and that you need to contact them on 0906 6611911 (a Premium rate number). DO NOT call this number, as this is a mail scam originating from Belize. If you call the number and you start to hear a recorded message you will already have been billed £315 for the phone c…

Hi,My name is Steve, this is this first time i have been a YOC member, and a Yamaha owner, thats not to say i am new to bikes, over the years i have had a few different makes . I have recently bought a XJ600 Diversion that has been stood for some time, it is generally in good condition. I started with the usual tank drain and fill with new 'fresh' fuel, it took a while to coax it into life but perseverance paid off and after about 15 mns it spluttered into life . Now the plugging of the grey matter, it starts without having to use the choke , but once it is running takes a long time to warm up and respond to the throttle (if i start it using the choke it …

Got up this morning, geared up for ride to work, went out to bike, looking at it something was different, hang on, where's the reg plate!! Not in the garden fallen off, I know it was very secure, so where? Nicked I guessed, thinking "oh well" decided best report in case of fraud. Always had opinion police are too busy for the little crimes (£200 car stereo robbed, not even a call back), but today, had several call backs asking finer details. Last call off an inspector of a sort called me thanking me for the info and reporting as they've been able to nick someone they've been monitoring. He was on a silver Yamaha like mine but with my plate! Just had the "CSI" du…
