The time has come where im booking my bike test and moving up to something bigger. I am liking the KTM 625/690 SMC's, Suzuki dr-z. had a look in to the xt660x but couldnt find much positives on it. so might have to move from a yamaha. Any ideas or recommendations. p.s i would use it to commute aswell. cheers

Hi new to the site - I have just purchased a Yamaha XJ900f on a 93 plate as a project bike; I need some help with sorting the engine - its been painted black & gold and looks a real mess! so I have been considering my options 1/ strip it down and get it Auqa Blasted removing the paint or 2/ buy a replacement engine - I found a really nice XJ900 Diversion 1999 but was wondering if it would fit the XJ900F Frame

Hi All! Just joined as I have purchased a 2007 R1 with 1500km's on the clock...have not taken possession or signed for anything yet!!! The bike was bought from a parallel importer/dealer in Johannesburg, I have been warned that it could possibly be an engine restricted model...especially if it comes from California. The bike definitely comes from the States...but where exactly in the States who knows? I have been guaranteed from the dealer (large and reputable) that it is not a restricted model and not from California...but an angel on my shoulder is saying "are you sure?" Can anyone help me with what I should look for? I have heard stories about black motors…

hi all. i seem to be having trouble selecting 2nd gear, every time i go to select 2nd it selects neutral instead. ive been told that its the selector inside the gear box and that i would have to have the engiene split to access it. could anybody help with some good advice on what to do?cheers guys

Did my module 1 test yesterday, no mistakes, passed it Now I've got my mod 2 on december the 7th (I tried booking earlier but it's all they had) Honestly, I'm crapping it. I know I'm good enough to pass I can just see myself making a f**cking silly mistake I'll kick myself for afterwards. So, are there any tips/usual suspects to avoid getting caught out on the Mod 2? I need a few jobs done on my Divvy 600 before winter sets in. i.e. brakes, tyres, etc. The place I went to in Melksham doesn't do bike repairs anymore, shame really, because they were brilliant. What I need is somewhere where I can go with the bike beforehand, discuss what I need doing then arrange a date/time so I can leave the bike and pick it up later in the same day, or if necessary the next day. Any help would be apprecated. Cheers Mike

hello any help would be great My son has a spanish bike with a ybr125 engine in it,as you all know this engine is air cooled. He ran the bike low on oil,i mean low less than a 1/4 of a litre,which has brought on a tapping from top end tappets are fine,cam and bearings are ok,i have put oil straight on to the inlet tappet,ran the bike and the noise has gone,but 10 minutes later,it returned,so it can only be that when he ran low on oil,he brought some crap up from the sump.. So my now for my question...is there anyway of clearing the blockage without sripping the head off,can i use a oil flush or would that do more damage,,
