(not a bike), Project Mumbles! :D
they are aftermarket alloys so definately bigger than stock, i have some plastic arches which i still need to put on and need to bond some metal braces to the inside of the fibreglass wings to bring them out in line with the rest of the body. jobs still to do: change starter motor connect gear linkage, change water pump (its leaking) new handbrake cables bleed brakes (probably need new master cylinder seals) bleed clutch make some sort of bonnet lock mechanism completely refit the interior. I also have a pair of Corbeau Forza bucket seats which came with the car when i bought it, but if i put them in i wont be able to move the seats forward to get anything in the back

(not a bike), Project Mumbles! :D
Hey peeps, dragged my old mini up from my old base last week, it was looking a bit sorry for itself, one of its eyes was missing, various garden life living in and around it. after a few days in the workshop it is now alive! (although i have discovered that the used starter motor i bought 2 years ago is knackered), had a slight issue when the ignition coil exploded and sprayed everything with boiling hot oil, but other than that Mumbles is well on his way , i ditched those crappy sealed-beam headlights and picked up some bright shiny H4 units at a landrover sortout for £3 each, result!, the bonnet still lifts up as normal but you can also flip the whole front end forward for ease of maintanence There's another very poorly looking mini sat in the car park over here, mostly stripped out, was going to see if i could get hold of the owner and maybe use it as a trailer/barbeque kind of thing

ebay bidding
bidding is legally binding (in a nutshell, if you win it, its yours). However if you win something and circumstances change (your car fails its MOT/your trailer gets nicked) the seller may be able to cancel the transaction and a refund will be issued to both parties. likewise, my brother bid on a dodge ram van, described as "very good condition with a few rust spots", after a 300 mile trip with a trailer he found the pillars were full of filler, body was rotten, bottoms had rotten out of the doors and the engine was misfiring, so he came home another 300 miles with an empty trailer, filed a case on ebay and they refunded him the full amount including deposit

yeah, these yokes arent going to work . need to find a set with 185mm centre-to-centre, 36mm stanchion holes and a 63mm offest. oh well, im off to B&Q to get some flat steel to mount my pilot lights to, no way they will fit inside the clocks.

Nothing to worry about Andrew, just keep those oil changes regular and check the cam chain tension at regular intervals

XJ600 pre diversion charging issue
witth the battery charged and the bike running at a fast idle put a voltmeter across the terminals, should be about 13.5v -14.1v, my pre-div regulator/rectifier went pop and it was a simple case of unplug the old one, plug the new one in. when mine popped it took the main fuse out with it.

Blunder! it doesnt fit! :(
Well peeps i finally got round to changing the yokes on the FUCR (cheers again , Tommy!) but they dont fit! thats the last time i trust a google search for advice..., i need a set of top yokes with 36mm stanchions, 185mm between the stanchion centres and a 63mm offset, the XS ones Tommy donated are more like 55 offset (stupid me should have checked...) . does anyone know which bike has yokes that fit the above description?, also the stem on the XZ frame is quite long, and fitting a whole different set of yokes is going to be a pain in the ass ,
