  1. God I nearly had heart attack, It looks really good, but I have only just learnt to turn this thing on, I thought I had done something wrong, which I normally do.
  2. No way, you lot get enough in all the bike mags as it is, it is about time we got some good pictures of some decent men with thier bikes.
  3. I actually remember riding a bonnie in stilletos, but I am not so sure they would suit you, but what I want to know is, is there really enough room on a g string to fit braces, if you are ever this way you will have to show me but make sure the g string has velcro fastenings.
  4. Cheers JMW you will have to let me know where sw it is a big area and yes it would be great to put a face to some of the names.
  5. Try ebay and then there is also partfinder or just ask the lads you never know what they have stored away.
  6. I did ride late 60's early 70's things were totally different then, bikes, roads amount of traffic and attitudes. even on my bike I were all the right gear, yes I have been known to go to the local shop in my jeans, but that is about as far as I will go, there are to many day dreamers out there, and I am a lot more fragile now than I was then.
  7. I know I have only been back on the road for 12 months and I know I don't have a bike like you lot out there, but after only paying £200 for a G reg 535 putting 2 new tyres on it and an mot and tax and doing over 7000 miles in just over 6 months trouble free till the reg rec went but is up and running again I think I will be sticking to Yams but go up a few cc

    Hi

    Hi Alan Welcome aboard, :hi
  9. Sorry N-Tart didn't know you were Guidford area, it just seemed there are a few twats turning up in that area I should not have generalised,
  10. Justthe knee cap at the moment they are trying to sort out my spine and then see if that helps the knees, I am a disabled rider, this is one of the reasons I can not have the sort of bike I would like, half the bikes I can not even get on let alone hold, but it does not stop me enjoying bikes and going places, just had a very cold weekend at a rally in Gloustershire and off to Cornwall for Christmas, but I am looking for something a little bigger now I have been back on the road for 12 months, but not sure yet what to get.
  11. Do all the twats live in Guildford. It is to close to home I think I might just move
  12. go to http://www.nei.nih.gov/health/retinaldetach/index.asp tells you all about it.
  13. Comin off a bike at a ton + hurts more,
  14. Pleased to hear you are ok. makes us all think a little more. Had my knee replaced last year got really frustrated not being able to ride or drive, but don't worry it won't hurt when its better. Good luck

    Hello

 Hi Rob I'm new too, also from midlands originally. There are a load of nutters on here, but it is the best site I have seen in a long time, and on the plus side they give some good advice from what I have read.
  18. Thanks you put it better than I did. And big mouth is wrong, I have been to more biker funerals in the last 3 years than I ever went to in the 70's. roads were different then, yes bikes were different, and I do know what the test involves now. I had a friend who took his da this year he brought a 1000cc bike 3 months later I was at his funeral, all because he wanted to impress.
  19. Unmutual is right I am old school in some ways, I like a lot of the new bikes, I like the R6 but I the advantage of my age to tell me it is not a bike to get on as soon as you pass your test, he may end up the best rider on the rode, but it is all the other idiots out there that are the problems, starting on something smaller might do his street cred for a while but it could save his life there are some really smart smaller bikes out there that have speed and exceleration as well,

I go to lots of rallies in cornwall, The bikers i have met there have been so helpful and supportive when I first got back on the bike, there are some fantastic ride outs down there the weather is much better and I have family who have bikes down there, It is a place where I have had some brilliant times.
  21. Reading what you want a bike for, you are going to go out there and kill yourself or some one else. If you really want to know how to ride a bike like that I suggest you go and get something you can ride now on your car licence, give it at least 6 months on that then see if you still want to ride. I got back after 30 years of being away from bikes and for the first 3 months i scared the shit out of my self, after riding a cruiser for the last 12 months I now feel ready for something bigger, bikes are not toys they can kill as easy as a car. As you live only 16 miles from me I would be worried if you were riding round here.

I think I went through that area many years ago, I brought my first horse some where in Carmarthenshire,, but you take a chance where ever you go these days, I don't let things worry me any more.
