  5. You are usually given 2 ratchet straps per bike to secure it. But be quick as some of the foreign riders take 3 or 4! Leave it on the sidestand if you can and lock the steering Depending what bike you got you can usually pass one strap through over the top of swing arm pivot just behind the rear wheel and in front of the shock absorber. When this one single strap is tensioned up the bike is securely planted to the deck for the trip. If your really worried fix another strap but make sure it's somewhere safe Also take some old rags and put them between strap and bike, save scratches Depending if you are on the left hand or right hand car decks there is a cable running down the outside wall of the ferry which you can clip your strap onto. It is important to line up the fixing eye on the deck with your swing arm position so that when the strap passes through, it is more or less straight across the bike. HTH

Lovely and sunny for about an hour though and didnt really rain for too long when it started so on the whole a great day! Yeah ok I was in a rush....thats my excuse and im stickin to it
  20. Was great to meet you and your friend today honey (sorry i forgot his name! ) - that really is a very colourful bike you got there too lol I went off to Wales to meet up with some friends after Rivvy and put another 250 miles on the clock and had some real footboard-scrapin fun despite the bluddy rain!
  21. Whilst i cant comment on your particular machine, i too always rode Honda's until i bought my Yam. BUT - i always rode Honda sportsbikes. My Yam is a cruiser so obviously a completley different kind of ride and machine. Both makes have their own plusses and minuses much as anything, but i hope you enjoy your new bike and have loadsa fun on it - and welcome to to the Yams
  22. Mine sometimes loses neutral too. The clutch cable is quite new so its not that. I let the clutch out slightly and let the bike inch forward a little, then i can usually find it no problem.
  23. And i agree with that entirely - twice now i have offered an olive branch and it still goes on - solution would be to remove the problem altogether - and we all know who that is..........
