  1. Keyed power runs to the flasher unit then to switch then to lights ground lights where hidden. hopefully some one else can give you a schematic but if not between what tone and I wrote you should be able to do it. Good luck Phil
  2. If your talking about the magnetic type of pick up speedo the info should have come with it to install, but if you don't feel confortable the job should take no longer than 2 hrs tops. I just put one on my buddys bike and the longest part was programing the speedo
  3. Hi dave welcome to the YOC keep the shinny side up
  4. If the stator has jumped on the key it will affect your timing same with the pickup coil beeing loose . I don't know how long you have owned the bike but if someone (after changing a charge coil)didn't torque the stator nut it could be loose
  5. Now I think about it again any chance you can put your puter on anoter bike? I had a rd350 that the Cdi went funky run not run ,run like crap run good. realy sent me around the bend till I bought another rd and swaped the cdi
  6. NO . It should still run semi normal just less power when the puter dosen't get the TPS signal it sets a base value and maps the ing by that You should check you stator and pickup coil. Stator for the key alingment and pick up coil loose. And as others have said realy go over that carb with air to be totlay sure you don't have a pluged up circut.
  7. If you leave the tps unpluged and run it how does it run? The purter shold set a base value and alow it to run not great but ok The 910 ohms starting point is high but what temp were you checking it at try putting it in the freezer or ice it down and see how big a diff you get. Also sweep it slowly and look for a dead spot in you readings
  8. Just a thought if it is a reacuring problem would it not make sence to put on a aftermarket speedo Iv seen them around the 80 dollar mark(CANADIAN)
  9. Hi gary welcome to the YOC you will find lots of threads on your bike they are pretty popular amongst the members
  10. Wow I have seen alot of different 1 wheel bikes, everyting from sitting inside the wheel to this type. but I think this guy has it down right looks very easy to ride. I would give it a go in a heart beat,I bet it won't be too long before we start seeing more of these if the insurance libality dosent kill it. LOL talk about people getting fat from not enough exercise,if wall mart starts selling them people might forget how to walk
  11. Google sat maps have been working well for me lately, mind some can be 3+ yrs old,,, but if you keep zooming in on a postal code you can get right down to street level almost looking right into your own house and just walk around using the little man. Quite amazing my son showed me this in the spring ......... a quick look around of the area before I go when I get there its easy to find my way around ...like I been ther before. I have never tried it before to locate anything in europe but I am going to check it out. Ok just did I need a postal code Try and enter london Ontario Canada n5z 2c7 you can take a stroll through london Ontario
  12. I would have to say no as the sat is tracking you and your id#. 2 identical #'s ...well way to easy to find 2wheels the nav system is right in the main puter updates only if you pay..but they can still track you even if you don't pay for the maps. Same as cell phones ,credit cards we all have been chiped to/till death do us part BEWARE they are following U everymove you make LOL
  13. Well your at the right place lots of intrest in thoes bikes here, but I would suggest posting a proper intro in new members section. Then you will get lots of info
  14. You probably just removed the arm#25 from top of#20 when you took it apart right? if so just pop it back off finger wind 20 back to take up the free play and put the arm back on shouldn't need to move it back farther. There is alot of free play on 20 so wind it in the opposite direction that the arm pulls it.
  15. A no biggie you have lots of spare clutch parts from the other motor just mix and mach untill you find good stuff if need be. And the carb can always be set a bit rich to startoff just throw a couple of spare plugs in your pocket and set it up along the way. If that chain was the only thing from stoping me from riding the grinder would be out in flash gordon style assuming you have a removable master link or is it suposed to have a 520? I hate when someone sends the wrong part lucky for me the boys 10 min down the road from me are great about double checking all orders. They deal in bikes and boats I needed a water pump seal kit for my 1967 mercury 65hp boat motor and they found it and got it right the first time in 2 days. Anyway good luck I'm sure you will make it to Squires your so close to being done a couple of late nights should do the trick.been there done that.
  16. Your bike is looking fantastic, In a pinch you can grind off the link and shorten the chain without a splitter. I have one but before I had one I always did it this way grind down the peened pin flush with the load plate lay the chain on a board and with a flat chisel knock off the load plate. Clean up any burs and slid out the link. You not going to use the 4 links so O well if they get messed up
  17. OK I said I wouldn't help you but after 3 day's of watching you need it. Try running the bike with a jerry jug of gas hung to act like a gas tank... after making sure ther is nothing in the carb bowl and if all goes well then. GREAT go to step 1 ......if not have a spray jug of water and start spraying around the vaccumme leak areas. (carb joint rubber top of carb ect) 1) clean the tank with acid and re seal it or put in a filter( crap is getting in to the carb even micro shitt can do this stuff your talikng about) 2) re clean the carb and check the seals( now as we never got thoes little bikes here not sure if it has a diapharam (cv) type carb or a accelerator pump type) either the diaphram on the top of slide has a micro hole in it or the accelerator pump seal is NFG. Both can cause the sudden WFO ( wide F open) problems. And air is 70-78% nitro and it can burn given the smallest agent for combustion to check the dia remove it and put a small amout of gas on 1 side and if any wet spot show up on the other side its NFG. Thunderchild the TPS is only used for the computer to caculate the ing map and has nothing to do with fuel deilvery on a carb bike only fuel injected bikes.... But a great vid yo found for testing tps.. Though he forgot to show if you sweep ( move it up and down) the throttle you will see a diff in the ohms reading
  18. You can chuck it up in a lathe and cut the center out of the sprocket make a spacer and tig weld it back together. Tack weld it and check for true center before welding it all up. Then have it hardened I suggest talking to some drag racers they will know of someone in your area who can do this for you.If you don't have access to the tools needed. Or the local collage if they offer a machine shop class you won't pay labour just material, well at least here they don't charge labour. O yea might as well get 2 made you will need a new one eventualy.
  19. Jason you should fill out a proper intro in the new members section age hobbies skill level how good loking you sister is LOL. As farr as I know thre are no kits avail. you could get a.20 to .60 over piston and have the cylinder bored but the bigger you go the weaker the cylinder walls get what I have been thinking of doing is puting a yz85 motor in and getting a endro kit for it to run the lights NO I have reserched it yet but the poor little 50 strugles in such a big frame
  20. Watch the video right after this one "IED explodes directly" nowhere as big but some boys must have got hurt. The vets here have made up stickers and banners " if you don't stand behind our troops feel free to stand in front of them "
  21. Billy what task is saying you should take the time to intro youself not just ask for help. As your only 13 do you have any experience in fixing a bike? You should buy a manual for the bike and see how many toools you have or access to be able to fix it. Fill out a proper intro re-post this in workshop with as much detail as to what is wrong and then you will get some help.
  22. Call the local dealer the part you need is cheap the spring and sprocket are easy to change onto the new shaft. No local dealer then search online lots of folks who will ship to you.
  23. Not sure what you mean 1) only US members can read US posts in all sections or 2) just a seperate sections for Us to post US stuff ie rides outs, events Au .. Au stuff ect..? Workshop which I read daily, seems to get alot of input form Brits helping US CAN ect.. to vice vers So it would be harder for some to get help if only people in thier country read thier problems. As well as projects I like looking at what other ppl are doing so would each country only see what others in thier country were doing? If so than NO to sepereat threads Phil K
  24. If you have a welder or access to one, buy a extra steel clutch plate and weld a arm on it that always works for me for the center basket. For the crank I use a piece of nylon block and jam up the basket and crank gears.
  25. Hi welcome try re posting this in workshop might get better views not everyone reads these
