    Better MPG.

Did it come out of the bike or fall of your chastity belt? You have the parts diagram I gave you with the bike - have a look. It sounds like a spacer but dont quote me on that. J2

So it should - I stamped it. My worry is - will this bike ever run again? J2

Is it just my eyes but isn't there something missing on that engine number? J2

The cop van was facing the other way. Even your not daft enough to get caught speeding away from a radar trap . . . . . . . or are you? J2

After 100 yards he was sweating like a peado in 'Toys-R-Us' . . . . . . . . . . . . . which is quite apt. If you look REALLY carefully you can see his hernia popping out. Made my day. J2

One shouldn't mock the afflicted (but in Kevs case its O.K. ) If you look carefully in the back ground you can see a BMX ready to overtake him. J2

    Better MPG.

My mate Kev (aka UP YOURS ) has finally managed to get 60 mpg out of his 350LC by pushing it the last 50 miles. My link Old Mr Faithfull, aka Mellow Yellow finally bit him on the arse and lost its front sprocket. Which Wally put THAT on? If I was you I would take it back from where you bought itand ask for your money back.. What are mates for but to photograph you loading your knackered bike into a mates van. My link Ive removed the reg number just in case Kevs forgot to road tax it again. Have-a-nice-daaaayyyyyyyy.
  9. Just a simple thing to check - the valve clearances. ATB Joshua
  10. How many times do I have to flush before you go away? To all the other people that replied sensibly - I thank you. ATB J
  11. Thanks for the replies. My main question was if you did release the 6th gear by removing this pawl/blanking plate (although, as stated this gear is useless unless some sprocket mods are done) can you then go from 6th gear to first! ATB J
  12. In the back of my mind I seem to remember an article in the old Motorcycle Mechanics magazine where they removed the blanking plate from an air cooled RD250 allowing the use of the 6th gear which was present in the box but blanked off for the European market. I seem to remember there was another part required to stop you going from 6th gear down to first !!! Can anyone confirm my deteriorating memory? ATB J
  13. Try putting a very small amount of neat petrol down the plug hole and use a good (new) plug. If it runs for a few seconds and then cuts - its probably a fuel related problem. If it doesn't run - its probably a mechanical related problem. Good luck. ATB J
  14. Have you tried sticking two pencils up your nose, wearing your underpants on your head and saying - "Wibble" ??? ATB J

So - dont honk at night and get your eyes tested. ATB J
  18. 'Agreed value' but only if its stolen by a one legged, brown eyed ginger haired puff while the bike is stored in your bedroom wardrobe on a Thursday morning in June while its snowing. They must have had a day off in the office the day they sold you THAT policy! ATB J
  19. '£46.00 for 4 ltrs!' :( I'm glad I sold my last two stroke bike to some unsuspecting dick ed! ATB J
  20. I lovely shade of puke - [yes, I know the colour is spelt PUCE ] ATB J
  21. Electric elements were fitted by Yamaha to the '535 to stop carb icing which DOESN'T just effect them in very cold weather. Damp cold days also bring it on. My first '535, a 1990 didn't have them and that suffered from carb icing. My second 1994 (?) model did. Its two electrical connections - one to each carb. Easily seen. ATB J
  22. Does your bike have the heater elements to stop carb icing? I take it you have stripped, cleaned and checked the carbs. Unless you can get in contact with someone who has experience of this conversion you could spend a lot of time and money sorting jetting etc. ATB J
  23. 'If I leave the bike to stand for more than a wk, its a pig' - In what way? Difficult to start? (Battery weak? Fuel leak?) More details please. ATB J
