You should be getting around 50-59 I think.
  4. Whatever works for you is fine, safety is the main thing. Once you have more miles it will get easier, no rush just enjoy the learning.
  5. Welcome Matt, the suggestion above seems pretty accurate to me. Enjoy the roads my friend.
  6. Very nice, not my type but looks great. well done sir!
  7. You can find pretty good advice here. It is for cars for you get the idea.
  8. British summer looking better every year
  9. Nerves and silly mistakes I would say. Anything else would differ for each rider.
  10. I second that.. good luck fella "lifesavers", I could not agree more. As for the bike to get once you pass, I would say don't over do it. There is nothing that states you have to go crazy and get a monster, pick something you can handle and it not going to give you those back issues. If you are looking to spend thousands on the bike then hiring a few bikes for the day will not break the bank and give you a great indication of what you are looking for. once again.. good luck
  11. not my type but can certainly see the work you have put in, congrats on a job very well done.

    Pending Marriage

My wonderful girlfriend and I had been dating for over a year, and so we decided to get married. There was only one little thing bothering me. It was her beautiful younger sister. My prospective sister-in-law was twenty-two, wore very tight miniskirts, and generally was braless. One day 'little' sister called and asked me to come over to check the wedding invitations. She was alone when I arrived, and she whispered to me that she had feelings and desires for me that she couldn't overcome. She told me that she wanted to make love to me just once before I got married and committed my life to her sister. Well, I was in total shock, and couldn't say a word. She said, 'I'm going upstairs to my bedroom, and if you want one last wild fling, just come up and get me.' I was stunned and frozen in shock as I watched her go up the stairs. When she reached the top she pulled off her panties and threw them down the stairs at me. I stood there for a moment, then turned and made a beeline straight to the front door. I opened the door, and headed straight towards my car. Lo and behold, my entire future family was standing outside, all clapping! With tears in his eyes, my future father-in-law hugged me and said, we are very happy that you have passed our little test.....we couldn't ask for a better man for our daughter. Welcome to the family.' And the moral of this story is: Always keep your condoms in your car

  14. Hope the overtime comes quickly and pays lots for you. I am by no means great with mechanical problems but figured I would throw in. Perhaps the valves are the issue here, perhaps they need seating correctly (if that is the correct term). Like I say just my 2p worth. Good Luck R
  15. How are getting on with this? did you get a second opinion?

    Finally returning

First I would like to say hello to all, I have read a few posts and this seems like a great community. Finally I am getting another bike after nearly 10 yrs without. Somehow I went from my last bike CBR6 to a ford galaxy (not sure what happend there). Anyways, I am looking at ideally the xv1100 for many reasons BUT .. the wife is keeping the budget down on this so Im not sure that is possible unless I get lucky. So I think my options are xv750 or even xv535 (I know I know it's popular with the lady bikers). I'm not too fussed about the 535 for now to get me back into biking, its smallish but Im only 5'9 anyway. Without any further babbling, any other options available? any models / years to watch out for? Thanks R
