Yep, it's snowing. 3-4" deep, more in other places, cars are backed up, there's grit everywhere, people are absent from work, all the local schools are shut....... ......And I'm sat here at work, having ridden all the way here in 2nd gear. The snow wasn't a problem once I got onto major roads. However, I still haven't gotten around to buying any Pro FST yet, so my carbs are icing and I stall at every fecking red light!!! Who else has been brave/stupid this morning, then?

WHY MEN SHOULD NEVER WRITE AN ADVICE COLUMN; Dear Larry, I hope you can help me here. The other day, I set off for work leaving my husband in the house watching the TV as usual. I hadn't driven more than a mile down the road when the engine conked out and the car shuddered to a halt. I walked back home to get my husband's help. When I got home I couldn't believe my eyes. He was in our bedroom with the neighbor's daughter. I am 32, my husband is 34, and the neighbor's daughter is 19. We have been married for ten years! When I confronted him, he broke down and admitted that they had been having an affair for the past six months. I told him to stop or I would leave him. …

Ok - so now i got me a nice new bike i was wondering what - if anything - i should be doing. Yes ive had "new" bikes before and i am quite capable of looking after them but i have never actually owned a brand new-zero mileage-straight-out-the-showroom bike - so in your opinions - is there anything i should be doing to keep her tickety boo or do i just keep on doin what im doin? Cheers! Goff (not too proud to ask for help )

Don't know if any of you guys have seen this but take a look - " URGENT ACTION NEEDED - by YOU! Apparently Transport for London are receiving very few comments from motorcyclists about the new London-wide TfL trial of motorcycles in red-route bus lanes. The latest news is that as part of the evaluation of the scheme 'users views' will be taken into account and 'numbers responding' will play a part in this. Clearly none of us want to see a situation where 5,000 cyclists have protested and 200 motorcyclists support. It's this kind of thing that would shift the political balance against us. However, cyclists campaign groups are steadily orchestrating a build …

I got an xs450, but there is nothing securing the seat to the frame. There are some tongues that the seat slides into, and there is another vertical *thing* that the seat has a tongue slides into... but it just rests in there. I tried putting a screw/bolt in there and it got stuck. Is something supposed to go there?

I've seen this rack on a CB1300 at a local dealers, I like this rack as the black pad rotates to sit down as in the picture, or turns to form a more upright backrest. The dealer has no idea where it came from (was on the bike when they got it), but I realy like it (as will the missus). The problem is that I'm not buying the CB as I've got a better deal on a XJR1300. Has anyone got any idea what make this is, where I can get one, something similar - it's the spinny back rest I really like, so the tail fin things from Givi aren't really it.

The FJR is a great bike - brought me back to Yamaha after many years... The standard seat is OK, but need something comfier for long trips. Anyone know how to get a comfort seat without having to be without the original for several weeks? Incredible that these things can't be got off the shelf given that the FJR has 28% of the US touring market and is pretty popular throughout europe too. Its possible to buy a comfort seat from the USA (Yamah make one and sell it there), but the cost including duty is £420 - too steep for me. If anyone has either an original 06 on seat or a bagster etc for this model, I'm interested in buying... Thanks Hedgehog
