what's the worst injury you've ever had? never really had a biggie(touch wood). getting staples all across the bottom of my chin was pretty sore, that happened whilst riding my bmx at 15 with a bottle of cider in me the blood stain could still be seen on the pavement months later. getting my nose broke was pretty sore  never broke legs or arms though. broke a few bones in my hand mountainbiking. oh yeah and chipped a bit of bone off me thumb with a hammer when building a fence last year  what about you lot? anything serious or just the normal stuff?

I went out side at about 20:00 tonight and seen that my bike had moved so I asked the wife if she knew what had happened and she said nothing and came and had a look and on closer look my bike had been moved of its centre stand and was resting against the wall and the steering lock was still on in the left position but the bike had moved strait along so if it had fallen of the stand it could not get to where it was so on a close look on the floor there were wet foot prints on the dry parts of the yard which are larger than mine or the wifes ,there is no damage that I could see in the dark but the steering lock looked loose but is still on,so from now on ill put the bike …

Yamaha YZF R1 North Yorkshire Police said Wilkinson was banned from driving for 70 days when he appeared at Selby Magistrates Court earlier this week. He was also fined £360 and ordered to pay costs of £45 and a victim surcharge of £15. "Got off light if you ask me!!!" Off to sunny Hull tomorrow to hopefully pick up a TDM850. Its a '96 mk2 model with the 270' crossplane crank and has aftermarket 2 in 1 pipe and blue spot brakes. its done 40k miles and has had a local respray in white and green. I've booked the national express as its only £15 (£48 on train) and get there 13:20. hope it checks out then I can ride to squires and have a look round the show. so I either could be stuck in Hull with no bike or zooming along the queens highway with a new bike. watch this space

Can you believe it? After months of cold/wet weather - now it is just too close to be enjoyable riding. over the last couple of days the roads have been busy and one just gets too warm even with minimal gear as ever, the usual sitings of riders in t shirts, shorts and trainers - yes more comfy until somebody pulls out and they get dumped on the road despite being hot everything went well except for two pot holes, in the most unlikely places one on a motorway and the other on a dual carriageway, both quite bad, a nasty jarring bang.

Hey peeps. I've got the chance of buying an '84 FJ1200 from a dealership my mate works at, it's got 46000 miles on it, new chain, tapered head bearings, fork seals, new pads and tyres all round and new pistons in the calipers, they're after £1k for it. Ideally I wanted a 1200, but if the 1100 is good for the price I'm not so fussed, I'm getting shot of everything else I have as I may be out of work for a while so it's likely to be my only mode of transport for the next year or so and I need it to be cheap to run/maintain and above all else reliable and simple. Any ex or current owners out there have any advice on what to look for on a bike this age?.

This is my first time facing snow/icy weather but I plan on riding through it, if the weather isn't too severe that is. After my first fall (video below) just the other day - which was completely rider error as you can hear the over-revving just before I came off - I'm having some doubts whether it's possible to ride in these conditions no matter how aware and careful you are. So I'm wondering how many of you ride through the winter time and who puts their bikes away. Would also love to hear some tips I also bought a can of these Tyre Grip sprays which has great reviews so I'll be trying that out. The first fall - no damage to the bike, the foot peg and break ped…

Just put the deposit down on this beast. Brand new bike, 2 years warranty. What can go wrong? From now on its trouble free, smooth riding. I can finally put the XT in the back of my friends garage and leave it there until I can be arsed putting a new engine in it, then sell it in the spring/summer.

Check out this guy. Decided that best way to clean his chain was to put his bike on the stand, start it, put it into gear then use a rag. Can you guess whats gonna happen........ My link

Hey Guys and Gals, Bit of a weird one but what kind of dog/s do you have (if you own a dog) just that im in the market for one and cant make up my mind which i want to adopt. I wanna get a rescue dog as i want to give one a better life/home than they previously had. The ones i found so far i like are: German shepherd (a big possibility) Collie (not 100% sure yet) Inuit (would love one) Husky (again would love one but very high maintenance) Lurcher (missus hates them) Rotty (missus is scared of them) I want a big dog because over the past few months there has been a spat of burglaries in my area and about 4 nights ago my front door…
