Hey mate did you know we have a new members forum where you can post an introduction ...that would be great Try squirting a little gas down the sparkplug hole, this sometimes works but you didnt say whether the plug is getting wet?
  6. a few points here The rings are different, the top one has a 'keystone' profile section (it's thinner on the inside circumference than the outside circumference...this on goes into the top groove The other ring is flat in Its profile section, this one goes into the bottom groove but first put in the little springy thing so that the ends are either side of the locating peg You'll notice that the rings have a shape ground into the ends so that they fit correctly around the locating pegs

well given there's no batterys in it I'd say you're on the right track, a simple continuity check with a multimeter would confirm it

Only ever used rattle cans mate, most of the prep will be common sense...rubbing down...de greasing...masking...priming etc etc
  19. vibration...loose connection somewhere?
  20. yes..use what you have
  21. To check the seal on the magneto side Start the engine and get it idling about 2000rpm using the throttle stop adjutment screw. Can of WD40 with a straw attached, direct a sray jet through the slots on the magneto rotor aiming towards where the seal will be. Listen for any change at all in the way the engine is running or change in idle speed. Any change of course indicates a bad seal A nice easy check
  22. could be, do you know how to do a quick n easy test of that?
  23. yes we get the picture mate
