Fuel nowadays is absolute pants, stripped carbs lately , ther was a tide mark in float bowls, [ diagonal = side stand.] tried rubbing it to see what it was,= like glue . choke wells were clogged ,, [ explanes poor starting last year.] put them back on bike .fired up , ran great on idle, reved it up , wouldn"d close down again, [ redline] , checked cables , throttle housing, lubed rerouted, fired it up ,still throttle sticking, So unscrewd tops took out slides , the needles were sticky as hell, so got Ultrasonic tank for this weekend, and this bike was used a lot last year , and doesn"t have a tank liner,[ to dissolve] Were in for a rough time when ethinol is increased,,,

  8. If you asking " is the fuel switch the choke" sounds like its a vacume petcock, as you"v never switched it on/off, my bet is youv got pipes mixed up , fuel in vacume inlet , instead of fuel inlet, coz youv not had carb in bits ,for it to f*ck up,
  9. Some times the decomp is automatic [ works of kickstart,] it would be a cable to some where on cylnder head,... And shurely you mean bumpstart, as you"v tried kicking,,,

    Its looking like it sach" what colour is the tank, is it the blue, i see them in usa,, and green, we had red in 75.

  21. Aye jay , i have , after sittin all winter, opened throttle on 1 of my bikes , and it felt sticky, and woulnt close proper, took slides out and needles were sticky, cleaned them of with spirit,,,

  23. Ok paul " Ha " smilies again, whats that button for, [ top left] I spoke to another freind [ car painter] he said i was too quick between coats, and to sand ,then reapply another coat of laquer, then pollish, its still look good now that i"v flatted the wrinkles ,
  24. Biggest difference between a 1000cc bike and others is , Bhp. and low down torque. you never need to downshift , the"yl pull top gear out of corners from as slow as 30mph. And yeh paul " The Kawasaki is a looker, as kwaker"s have always been a little more exotic over the years. go back to 1968 , the H1 500 triple 2 stroke, broke the 1/4 mile records , aced the 750-4 honda. 1972- 750 triple, 1972- Z900, 1985, Gpz900,. i was a yam man in the 1970"s , but even then my dt175 was overshaddowed by the KE175, according to M,c.Mechanics mag, it even outshon the DT250,[ twinshocks] by the way these muscle bikes have low seat hieght, ,, heres mine,
