Anyone tried this? - neverwet
Update: First drop of real rain (localised flooding!) The G-wax works a treat. After a 20 minute cloudburst which closed a few local roads my socks stayed dry, as did my hands and my trousers started leaking at the crotch just as I got home. The spray I used on my jacket kept most of the rain out, only started seeping through the arms slightly but tbh not sure if that may have been sweat! Not sure if it may need another spray though - rain was so hard even cars were slowed down to 20mph.

Chain wear on outside, top of links?
Guess what? Instead of just oiling my chain, I've removed it to give a good clean and have the same fairies! Tension has been within tolerances since putting the chain on new earlier this year following a break and can't see anything to explain it! Given the guard a good clean - only thing I can think of where its been rubbing. Around front sprocket was oily but no real dirt and no signs of damage on inside of cover. Did you ever find your fairy?

The Beast bit me
If you soak it with surgical spirits it keeps it dry and won't fill back up with puss!

New member, new biker
Hi and welcome! I'm same age and relatively new to biking. Had a couple of get offs on a scooter before getting my SR last year. Haven't slid down the road yet but came close once in the wet with a front wheel skid thanks to someone pulling out on me!

YRB Clutch
Welcome in! As above, start a thread in workshop and I'm sure someone may be able to help. Bit of history may help - had you done any work on it, did the problem happen suddenly?

Full bike test
CBT around £100-£120, theory test £35, instruction on 600cc+ bike (I believe is compulsory 2 hours??) and test fee £600ish. A lot of schools will do discount if book with a few mates.
