    the number of times I've bought " fantastic part" when it is clearly a load of crap beggars belief. the seat base is the important bit and getting £10 off is great. Leightons in brum do a great service or Matt Caulfield in Hyde (did my Gilera seat) is also good.

    It clamps over the sprocket and a laser pointer helps align the chain

    good to meet you today Unk sohc xs are 180' cranks, that is pistons are 1 up 1 down at the same time so no balance shafts. another guy from Wimslow PM'd me from the American xs400 site and has just bought an xs400. He is building a flat tracker. Its a special so it has a stepped seat

    engines are my fave part of resto. lots of polishing to do on these or take the easier route and paint. got a bit of spare gears etc
