ive got 4 DT50s, a fireblade, an XJ turbo, an XZ550 and an SR125 (being sold next week hopefully) out of those 7 only 2 are roadworthy right now... when i used to fly model aeroplanes one of the guys at our club only ever had one red aeroplane, his wife thought he had been flying it for the past 20 years but in reality he was changing his planes every 6 months or so to a different red one

do so at your own risk, thats my disclaimer a docile squirt of easy start (spray for the duration of saying the word "Banana") should give the desired effect, just keep well clear when lighting and leave the tyre valve out to allow the excess to vent. strongly reccomend the ratchet strap idea, i have re-inflated trailer tyres, my XJ600 tyres, a couple of fireblade tyres and even some 235/70/16 car tyres using that same method, its less likely to blow up in your face that way

Get yourself a ratchet strap and put it around the radius of the tyre and tighten it up, this squashes the top of the tyre down and pushes the sides out increasing your chances of getting it seated, also take the valve out of the middle of the tyre stem to allow more airflow, ideally you need a compressor due to the amount of air required. could take a while but it would be worth it
  13. Well what a beautiful day outside!, ive been nursing a terrible hangover so havent ventured far from the foamy cave today, but i did however get out to the shed and unearth the remnants of my XJ turbo, ive re-assembled most of the rear fender and with creative use of an impact wrench and some colourful language i had the engine cases off, rocker cover off sump off and am now waiting for some shotblasting media so i can finally get the engine blasted and painted! once the engine is in i can get it on its wheels (forks, yokes, bars and swingarm are already painted ready to go back on) very productive day and a very happy foamy

I thought that Oasis was a brand name? :S, im picking up some polystyrene tomorrow which will hopefully be good enough for a basic form. i remember using a rather dense but brittle foam to pack a hydraulic pump at Benson to be sent back to the supplier, it crumbled like a biscuit in your hand but was very firm to the touch and would be ideal to make into a form, but i cant seem to find anything like it!, searching on google only turns up seating foam and mattress toppers

You wont go wrong with the tiger, lad i went through RAF training with 3 years ago sold his last week, did many miles on it and spent virtually nothing (i think he put a new chain and sprocket on and a set of plugs)

Ordered a fibreglassing kit and some old-school lucas indicator lenses (real glass ones, not those shitty screw-on plastic types), also got given a thunderace rear light unit which will be going in the tail unit, will hopefully get some pics up shortly , need to find some big foam blocks though, that florist stuff is pretty pricey for what it is

Average ownership is about 6 months for me . and yep i would give anything to have my donkey back, oh how i miss that sweet donkey of mine , but alas, i now have 5 of them. next trick is to do something with my classic mini and maybe get rid of it, then get a suzuki SJ413 to throw around the midlands

Yeah in hindsight i should have planned it a bit better, still ive lost out on £50... thinking of all the more enjoyable things i could have got for £50, like a few pints and a cheap lady... ah well, should probably stick to breaking bikes
