hi,

Im John, Im 17 and have a insane obsession for classic yams! i have various fizzy's in different states, i also had a rd125dx twin for a while, some of you may know me as brake-dust from the fizzy forum or fizzy-kid from the sixteener special site, Great site you have here and i look forward to reading through it, The main reason i am here is because i am after a yamaha chappy big bore kit if any one can help me out, either new or second hand im not to fussy, dont want to tread on any ones toes here but i can put you onto a great guy who re-builds and tunes two stroke engines and also a guy who is a sprayer, who specialises in classic bikes and has all the exact colour matches for classic yams and other peds.

Hi John,

I too wander around the Fizz forum from time to time and also have FS1's in varying states !!! (doesn't MR Stowe go on some times !!!) LBII80 Chappy ... I wasn't aware that the motor had a big bore kit. But you may get a V90 to fit but in fact in stock trim the V80 would blow the 90 into the ground (in fact the 80 replaced the 90). Are you trying to put an LBII barrel on a Fizz ? if so it may fit but remember the LB/V series were reed valve & not disk valve so you may have problems getting it to run correctly

thanks for the warm welcome guys,

Jim, stows a good fella and very knowledgeable, yes i'll be putting a chappy barrel on a fizz and using the reed as opposed to disc valve, whats your user name on the other site? i believe they were also known as lb50's? i can get a big bore kit from the states to make it 70cc but wanted some thing a tad closer really, thanks for the info though, i'll look into strokes and stud pattens

Hi John,

for the UK Yamaha inported the LBII80 a 79cc scooter thing that looked like the Honda DAX, but if I restate perhaps a V80 was ported better and was some what quicker in fact back in 1981 I played with a V80 (fitted a V90 front pipe and a pattern Fizz silencer, it looked like a dunstall exhaust, and the dam thing did 70 quite scary with leading link forks and no brakes to speak of!). My user name on Fs1e site is JimR, do you want to move over to that site ?

Regards Jim
