  1. I'd agree with a 400 restricted, my mate has an RVF and that restricted still runs really well, i had my 2000 R6 restricted and it didnt idle to well but still pulled a treat, dont de-restrict it and pull the throttle wide open though because the power goes above 33 at about 5-6k. I would defiantely go for a 400, thats what i should have done, if you do go for a 600 make sure the carbs are cleaned and balanced before you fit the kit

    My R6

It's just a quick tail tidy a made from carbon fibre and thanks batifan, its an akrapovic evolution system that i cut down and welded up an overlap to fit the racefit to it. It sounds exactly like the gp bikes, absolutely awesome n gives you chills down your spine when riding! Corrie if you pm me with your email address i'll get some instructions knocked up for you and crack some pictures in so you can see what to do

    My R6

Hi mate, i've converted my r6 to the r1 usd forks and and transforms the handling, looks gorgeous aswell, quite easy to do if you've got the right bits, as far as i know you could use the newer r6 forks but you'd have the issue of changing the front wheel to that same year as the forks cos the axles, spacers and wheel fitment arnt the same whereas the 5eb r6 front kit is the same as the 4xv r1 apart from the yokes obviously, heres them fitted to mine i only needed the bottom yoke as i had a billet ally custom top yoke made, i can write you up some instructions of what to do and what you need if you like, got some pictures of the stages of mine aswell if you wana see
  4. Hi there mate, no it wont be an ECU problem, they dont adapt it just runs from a set ignition map triggered by the crankshaft. I never had any problems when i took the restrictors out of mine, have you made sure the carburetors are sat firmly down into there rubbers? if there not you'd definately notice it the way you are, some times they can take some force to really push down properly.
  5. Thats unreal! how can he still be with her?!?!?!?!
  6. Well the bike has a full naked carbon fibre fairing that i had to import from america but want to get the tank and single seat cowl to match by wrapping them as i cant make a carbon fuel tank! If you give me your email address i can send you some pictures of the bike and the tank as i did try to wrap it myself and it didn't work basically then we can discuss what you thinks best
  7. Wow those bits look great, i did a composite module for my degree course and found it real difficult! i've tried doing carbon bits for myself and they haven't turned out that well! you always going to be on this forum because im sure i'll want some parts doing soon, can you also wrap existing parts?
  8. Thats a very good way of explaining it, its called the big bang as when you hear it its like one big bang as theres only 90 degrees between two firing then a wait of 270 degrees
  9. I'll always give a nod but usually not to a scooter rider, the above the helmet open and closed hand for 'police close' is something i always do and even find myself doing it when in the car! i have had car drivers flash to let me know there's police ahead, there is some that are aware of bikes
  10. Well it could be either then, if it was an older model it would be unlikely to find EGR on it, id quickly av it out and see if it actually moves anything, if it just looks like a valve to allow flow through then its EGR
  11. Lovin that, how long did it take to polish the wheels up like that!!!
  12. Hi there mate, sounds like a good buy, if it hasnt been thrashed to roughly and the engine sounds good with a good service history it will be fine, the tappets wear quicker on the 600 yamahas than most others so if theres light tapping from the cylinder head then at some point you mite want to get them checked but should go on for another 15-20,000 miles no worries
  13. Hi mate, that justs looks like an EGR valve, the engine will re'use the exhaust gases to lower the emissions when the valve opens but i dont open when your pinnin the throttle and need fresh mixture, it'll run fine without it i should think, just block the pipe up or route it somewhere out the way. It could be a diaphram for somthing tho, could do with havin a good look at it and see if it actuates anything, if it does could be important, what years the bike?
