  1. im gona try to see if loading a few pic works... alloy framed TZ350 which was to say the least interesting to ride.. an interesting little bike i had for a few years. a spondon 200 based on a RD200. not much of the rd engine left in it other than the engine casings..
  2. love it people don't realise just how wicked they are until they ride one.they make a R1 seem tame. I used to race a kx 500 supermoto that was tuned and it near raped me everytime I rode it lol
  3. OEM is the way to go. iv had issues over the years with tuned 2 strokers and windows. certain engines all be it race engines i removed the rear of the piston skirts removing the windows completely to keep the small ends oiled.
  4. welcome along sir from another newbie

so im not the only one lol.. its wrecked my head. i do the photobucket thing. it goes yellow and says copied then i right click in my post and nothing happens...gggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
  8. from that picture i think i know that bike. i m near sure it was built by a guy called taffy. it is one serious bike. its a cr500 engine in either a cr250 or crf 450 frame.. if it makes it go faster that bike has it on it, serious weapon of a thing.
  9. if you have a piston with large windows , if it was mine i would enlarge the holes or you may find the small end is getting starved of fresh cooling fuel /oil charge. an hour with a few small files will sort the problem.
  10. cheers sir.. being a computer numpty. the we smilie? is the little picture frame on fotobucket or on here.
  11. i know i own a honda atm. but i will beat myself for that lol... kinda had a few yamahas over the years RD250........x2 DT50..........x1 LC350........x3 LC250........x1 YZF426......x1 FZ750........x1 TZ350........x1 spondon 200 ..x2 RD200.......x1 Rev cylinder x1 and god knows how many iv forgot, come sunday il add a divvie 600
  12. as above what am i doing wrong here. cant see an option to get a avatar picture loaded and i tried to post pictures in a thread from photobucket using the img code but nothing seems to appear?? any ideas?
  13. as above try the braided line first. not sure of the model of caliper but try phoning them and having a yarn with them. me and the brother ran a supermoto shop up until 2007 and used to get loads of calipers for the race guys so they mite have them just not listed.... tried to put a picture of the bike up here but it wont let me paste pictures ???? .
  14. ah im to old to remember fast bikes lol
  15. nice thread sir and food for thought because im just about to pick up a diversion on sunday so looking forward to ownership .
  16. fun it was... no the front end wont go in. if you are looking a good disc try a talon. i never managed to bend one or warp one and either a bracket for your own caliper or what i used was a pretech 4 piston caliper. not sure if they still make them but they where a great caliper and pretty cheap. i dont think i have anything left from mine other than a seat but i will have a hunt in the brothers place just incase. the main weak point if you dont change them is the big end. the rod itself is fine but the big end if it isnt changed can wreck the engine though as yours isnt being raced it should be grand.
  17. sometimes you have to wonder is the dog the wiser of the two?
  18. nice build sir. i raced a 426 in supermoto trim for a number of years. even after the 450s came out the 426 was faster due to having the 5 speed gearbox when the 450s came with 4 gears. id hunted the planet and found a yamaha kit cdi and matching ti pipe for it. i also ran the higher comp piston and flowed head. wee bike went well and it was giving a real world 57 bhp, more than enough at british championship level.. you asked about master cyl size? no real improvments with the standard caliper but if you fit a 4pot you need a master cyl of a honda cbr 600 . from 1993 to 1997 they have the correct ratio. also gearing wise on faster tracks it would pull 16 .38. oh also forgot it had 1mm oversize inlet valves in stainless as ti valves in those can stretch. cheers rob
