  1. Hi Everyone, I have a 1992 DT 175 that is pretty much the same as 81 UK model. I have a leak coming from my auto lube pump and have not had a chance to check it out as yet. When I emptied the 2 stroke tank while restoring the bike, I did not bleed the air out of the line when I refilled the tank. I have ridden roughly 1,000km since then. Could this have damaged the pump? Regards, Matthew
  2. I can't believe it wanted to pop up! I give mine full throttle in 1st and it starts dying at 6k while rattling its guts out...Maybe I need to take it to the shop for a good tune.
  3. Thanks guys. I adjusted the front brake last night and it is working alot better now. I probably just need some more practice on adjusting.
  4. Hi All. Have benn thinking of changing my front brakes to disk or maybe bigger drums. I am not confident in the current bracking power if I need to hit them for a quick stop. Does anyone know of a simple swap over?
  5. Had me freaked out enough not to think of the obviouse.
  6. Spot on Dirty! Cant believe I didnt think of that. Thanks mate.
  7. G'day everyone. I had an oil leak from behind my gearbox sproket because I had not done the nut up enough (didnt realise untill the oil light came on yesterday). After tightening up the nut I put some more oil in it and took it for a ride. Was good for a while but then the oil light came on again . I checked the level when I got home and it was good. Can anyone think of why the oil light may still be coming on?
  8. I had similar problems when I took my DT175 out of the shed after 10 years. The clutch was pretty well stuck. I gave it a good push in neutral, jumped on the bike and then put it into first gear while rolling. Unlocked itself in a few goes.
  9. Sorted. Thanks heaps Tone. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  10. Thats is possible. Will check it out when I get home. Thanks, I had no idea the oil light should be on with the neutral light. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  11. I am taking the forks to a local mechanic tomorrow because I want to make sure it is done right. The bike is running alright once I get it warmed up. But when I first kick it over I have to rock the bike back and forth to keep it going. Could it be the fuel level? Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  12. Hi Ladies and Gents. For some reason when I change my bike into gear and the neutral light goes off, so does the speedo backlight. Have done a bit of head scratching but not sure why it is doing this. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  13. That is insane man!! Can't wait to see it finished.
  14. To my knowledge you adjust the jets by purchasing a set of them and find out which works best. check your manual to find out what size the jets are as standard. Start with the biggest jet and work your way down. As far as the exhaust goes... no idea mate.
