    Homebrewing

A bloke in work makes loads of homebrew, we call him 'moonshine' . that is all
  2. have you noticed much improvement since the upgrade john? if so then how so, what i mean by that is does the light shine further or wider angle or what? the reason for asking is tbh the light are pretty shite on unlit roads, and if its just a matter of changing the bulbs it might be worth considering.
  3. i have not had a chance to check yet DT but from what i remember its in the correct position and cant be moved further into the frame so to speak. i will be checking in the morning to see what can be done as just a front brake is no good hahaha. dropping down through those gears like a boss, cant be doing the engine much good. ahh well should be golden by dinner time 2moz (fingers crossed ) . will keep u posted
  4. im using the R wheels matey with 'all terrain' or 'dual sport' tires, lol something like that
  5. Had a great time out on the local greenlanes today!, got as high up as 400-500 meters. lovely views will defo get some pics next time. However the bike went down a few times, reg plate off, rear light not coming on (hopefully its just the bulb that's blown) and snapped my rear brake reservoir, they are in such a damn silly place on these bikes (sticking out of the bike, if it was back/in the frame abit more- say half an inch it would be ideal!) If the right side of the bike EVER touches the ground u can pretty much bet you have bust your reservoir (XT125 05). What a pain in the ass! i have only had a new reservoir on it for about a week and a fucking half!!!!! ahh well the experience and just plain old fun i had today more then made up for it! these things happen i guess
  6. lol you kiss ur teeth goodbye i think
  7. LOL how much of that did you write up drewpy hahahaha
  8. very cool vid! but is it that common in America to not use much by way of road protection ? i mean there's a few people with metal tins on there head but damn. When ever i see someone on the tarmac wearing a t-shirt all i can think is 'skin graft!' rather them then me!
  9. LOL yes not all of us have the fancy badass after market ones on our bikes One reason was that both of my X tires were bold as fuck i mean no questions straight 6 points and no one needs that shit. second reason was they were a fair price for wheels with disks, sprocket and damn near new tires (still had those little sticky out bits on em that u get when there band new) that was £90 + postage . 3rd reason that really should be my first i live in the middle of the countryside and there plenty of green lanes and forestry tracks about , i could just about manage going very slow in the dry on X wheels but not a damn chance this time of year. i have kept the X wheels for when summer comes back around as i have had the outside of my boot on the floor with these the wheels! and pegs to the ground lol ...i know im a tit
  10. Do let me know how that effect the acceleration but also the top end please matey? oh yeah do you have a rear reflector on your bike? and if so where is it, as i'm going to be doing my mod one on my own bike and don't want to be denied a chance to even try the test due to not having a reflector thanks
  11. I had been looking for a definitive answer of whether this is possible or not , or more to the point how much modification is needed. well after failing to find an answer i just gave up on the idea. A few weeks later when looking for a new tire for the X wheels i saw a listing for a pair of golden color R wheels HOWEVER they were listen as suitable for the X and R model, i email to confirm they would fit the bike and the seller said yes, agreed on a price and waited for them to come. When the arrived everything seamed as though it would ft no problem, so got the bike up of the floor to swap the wheels took off the front one tried it and realized the disk on the X model it 2CM wider, we then went to swap the disks, the old X disks was pretty much welded on so they had to be drilled out (every last screw!!!) . the next day now (bear in mind we both work full time and only really have a few hours of free time at the same time during the day) X disks on the R wheels and they fit a treat, brakes work, all good. now onto the rear wheel....fits a treat wow wasn't expecting that so the answer for anyone wanting to know whether they can put the R (enduro) wheels on the X (supermoto) bike. YES IT CAN BE DONE!! we also had to get new rear bearings and spacer at some point before even trying to get them on. as there wasn't any in it lol
  12. FINALLY SOMETHING I KNOW A LITTLE ABOUT don't worry about the bashplate i have a 2005 and certain its the original plate, me and my uncle have been lifting the bike up onto a decorating style 'bench' basically a metal fold out table for standing on (about a foot wide and two long, cant seam to find any pics similar to it online ATM but i will). The bashplate is A okay (other then the obvious scrape marks) and so are the brackets its attached too, its been up on this for about 2 or 3 days on and off with all the times we have had it up on there (changing the wheels over to R, new bearings, something with the brakes lol, but yeah NO PROBLEMO, encase it isn't obvious in the way i worded that all the bikes weight is sported by the bashplate and not the wheels. be careful obviously don't just drop the bike onto it and you will be just fine
  13. hahaaha yep they tend to skip the maintenance bit of it.....

    bloody DVLA!

right then been trying to make sense of/find appropriate information about mod one on a motorcycle, everything i have found so far is far less then helpful... soo what i need to know is.... : do i take my own bike or is one provided? :if i have to arrange my own bike what spec does it need to be? : also any other information that might be of use or just good to know before hand would be very much appreciated! thanks for your time! i am 20 by the way and am trying to get my restricted license before the laws change . if that makes any difference
  17. at least yours is running :\
  18. ITS HERE! Turned up this morning if only id have got out of bed i could have at least popped it onto the bike! But unfortunately now i have to go to work. i think i will put it on after work but will have to wait until tomorrow to fetch some brake fluid as i bought some for the first time i tried to fill the reservoir but left it in my uncles garage DERP hahaha.....i'm getting there
  19. If if doesn't slow the acceleration down too much i will definitely go up a tooth on the front. great idea blackhat!
  20. when you get round to it please let me know how this effects your top end speed but also your acceleration? as i'm sure you've noticed one of the things this bike has going for it is how nippy it is around town and other speed restricted zones (dare i say up to 50? maybe not but definitely up to 40 isn't bad at all). very interested to know if you will even be able to notice the change in acceleration? hmmm if you do go up a tooth please let me know
  21. I'm a bit of a gear stomper myself...... my excuse is that i'm trying to get down a few gears quickly to 'back it in' the corner. that's my story and i am sticking to it
