  1. Good looking and well kept bike mate.
  2. Good to hear. I made the mistake of helpinfg my mate de-badge his vauxhall vectra. The vauxhall badge was pinned on so ended up spraying half the boot lid to get rid of the offending hole. He then took the other badges off and damaged the laquer, meaning I had to do the rest of the boot. Regards
  3. Get a hair drier warm the badge up and pull off when it is really nice and hot. Dont try to force it though. To remove the remaining tape use a light solvent like nail varnish remover. As simple as that enless the badge is pinned on aswell which means there will be a hole where the badge was. You will have to take this to a paintshop to get them to fill it prime and paint it. Hope this helps Robbie

    YZF600R Exhaust

Just to add to the equation try adding a WSB screen. Looks the don on my R6 shouldn't look too bad on your cat either. Talking of pissing off the neighbours Ive just fitted a full Blueflame Evo 3 exhaust system to my bike. Taken both baffles out. Also scares the hell out of the chavs in their done up saxos. Regards
  5. im in work next on wednesday and will look up all the yamaha colours for that year and tell you all of the possible ones. Please note it will be a DU PONT coulour system code I will be giving you but it should be able to get you the right paint from any system. Regards
  6. Ive got to say either the red or the blue mate as they break up the silouette of the bike nicely. If you get the pink ones youll have to go and talk with tom as he swings that way . Regards
  7. I think there is something in MCN this week regarding a lot of the 2000 range being recalled by yamaha due to gearbox and electrical problems including the R1. Hope this helps

    mmmmmmm

In my second test (i failed the first with 2 minors and a major - not putting my foot down at a stop line THERE WAS NO TRAFFIC AT ALL) on my emergencey stop i locked both wheels so thought i had failed again. It was the worst day for rain in Southampton that year though so examiner must have thought it was unfair to fail me for that. Didnt fall off or have to put my foot down to save the bike either.
  10. Subject: Politically Correct Britain - A Winter's Tale! REST OF THE WORLD VERSION: The squirrel works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building and improving his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks he's a fool, and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the squirrel is warm and well fed. The shivering grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold. THE END ----------------------------------------//------------------------------------------------- THE BRITISH VERSION: The squirrel works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks he's a fool, and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the squirrel is warm and well fed. A social worker finds the shivering grasshopper, calls a press conference and demands to know why the squirrel should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others less fortunate, like the grasshopper, are cold and starving. The BBC shows up to provide live coverage of the shivering grasshopper; with cuts to a video of the squirrel in his comfortable warm home with a table laden with food. The British press inform people that they should be ashamed that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so while others have plenty. The Labour Party, Greenpeace, Animal Rights and The Grasshopper Council of GB demonstrate in front of the squirrel's house. The BBC, interrupting a cultural festival special from Notting Hill with breaking news, broadcasts a multi cultural choir singing "We Shall Overcome". Ken Livingstone rants in an interview with Trevor McDonald that the squirrel has gotten rich off the backs of grasshoppers, and calls for an immediate tax hike on the squirrel to make him pay his "fair share" and increases the charge for squirrels to enter inner London. In response to pressure from the media, the Government drafts the Economic Equity and Grasshopper Anti Discrimination Act, retroactive to the beginning of the summer. The squirrel's taxes are reassessed. He is taken to court and fined for failing to hire grasshoppers as builders for the work he was doing on his home and an additional fine for contempt when he told the court the grasshopper did not want to work. The grasshopper is provided with a council house, financial aid to furnish it and an account with a local taxi firm to ensure he can be socially mobile. The squirrel's food is seized and re distributed to the more needy members of society, in this case the grasshopper. Without enough money to buy more food, to pay the fine and his newly imposed retroactive taxes, the squirrel has to downsize and start building a new home. The local authority takes over his old home and utilises it as a temporary home for asylum seeking cats who had hijacked a plane to get to Britain as they had to share their country of origin with mice. On arrival they tried to blow up the airport because of Britain's apparent love of dogs. The cats had been arrested for the international offence of hijacking and attempt bombing but were immediately released because the police fed them pilchards instead of salmon whilst in custody. Initial moves to then return them to their own country were abandoned because it was feared they would face death by the mice. The cats devise and start a scam to obtain money from peoples credit cards. A Panorama special shows the grasshopper finishing up the last of the squirrel's food, though spring is still months away, while the council house he is in, crumbles around him because he hasn't bothered to maintain the house. He is shown to be taking drugs. Inadequate government funding is blamed for the grasshopper's drug 'illness'. The cats seek recompense in the British courts for their treatment since arrival in UK. The grasshopper gets arrested for stabbing an old dog during a burglary to get money for his drugs habit. He is imprisoned but released immediately because he has been in custody for a few weeks. He is placed in the care of the probation service to monitor and supervise him. Within a few weeks he has killed a guinea pig in a botched robbery. A commission of enquiry, that will eventually cost? 10,000,000 and state the obvious, is set up. Additional money is put into funding a drug rehabilitation scheme for grasshoppers and legal aid for lawyers representing asylum seekers is increased. The asylum seeking cats are praised by the government for enriching Britain's multicultural diversity and dogs are criticised by the government for failing to befriend the cats. The grasshopper dies of a drug overdose. The usual sections of the press blame it on the obvious failure of government to address the root causes of despair arising from social inequity and his traumatic experience of prison. They call for the resignation of a minister. The cats are paid a million pounds each because their rights were infringed when the government failed to inform them there were mice in the United Kingdom. The squirrel, the dogs and the victims of the hijacking, the bombing, the burglaries and robberies have to pay an additional percentage on their credit cards to cover losses, their taxes are increased to pay for law and order and they are told that they will have to work beyond 65 because of a shortfall in government funds.
  11. See i have no idea. Nice advice YamaHead - as always. Regards
  12. The noise i think actually comes from the chain that drives the waterpump or is it the oil pump - well a pump which doen't have a tensioner on it so after a while a little bit of play comes in. The sounfsd goes on my bike when ever it is serviced fully. Regards
  13. check all the connections from the light back through the system to the light relay box as it could just be a loose connection. after that i dont know much about these bikes and any associated problems. Sorry if this is no help.

  16. I have an agv stealth with a legal iridium finish which looks the sex is really comfy and has very little wind noise especially as ive just put a new moto gp screen on me bike aswell.
  17. i agree on the hammerite brewtrooper have you tried getting quotes for bead blasting and powder coating. just another idea. Regards
  18. Completely agree with this. In order for the forks to be re chromed everything has to stripped down to bear metal. It then has to be cleaned and then you can think about dipping it. Very expensive process so may aswell have new forks that you know will last some amount of time.

use a light solvent but if the bike is new go very carefully. The paint wont have hardened off completely.

1 Yes all fairings can be plastic welded but you need both the right tools and also the ability to do it. You can cause more damage to the fairing if you muck it up. 2 Depends on what colour you want. If you want a chrome illusion paint or any other specialist paint you will have to try and source it. You can use car paints, just find one you like and tell the bodyshop what it is. 3 The company I work for charge around about £50 per panel but welding and other damage may effect this. Hope this helps PM me if you have any other queries. Regards
  21. Hi, Sorry for not replying in A WHILE NO INTERNET. I think that the problem on my bike was caused by the fact I use a steam cleaner to clean my bike. This means that water gets forced into the coils and pisses wuith the low speed engine timing. If this isnt the case apparently some R6's have problems with the coils actually breaking down. Other than that check for fuelling issues. Regards

    YZF R6

High mate. The main thing as with any bikes is damage due to being dropped. On R6's the main service intervals are 12,000 and 24,000 miles both costing over £250. Regards
  23. Hi guys started having major problems with the beast. Basically she cuts out when slowing down to a stop (when you are at junctions). As i come through the gears it is alright but as soon as i go into first gear and get below 4k rmp all of a sudden the revs go and she cuts out. Yesterday she was difficult to start again but today it was easier. Only difference is a new tank of fuel. Sometimes when moving off from a stand still she is really bubbly aswell. Anyone got any ideas, it is getting bloody annoying and somewhat dangerous as it has cut out in traffic in rush hour. Thanks Robbie
  24. Happy Birthday mate hope you have a good one. Regards
  25. Theres no way Pete will go for a R1 look at the traffic behind him in the photo he likes to ride his bikes slowly. I reckon your down sizing maybe DT 50
