  1. i use it on car alloy wheels etc. just whack some on a cloth and rub it in, it goes black and starts to smell bad, then you buff it up with a clean cloth Tom
  2. of all the things it could have hit, it had to be a concrete boot. nice twat lol Tom
  3. i've got a few mods on mine, exhaust, earthed YPVS etc, it'll do about 110 miles to the tank and then about 16 miles on reserve. not bad really. and i'm not shy with the throttle on mine, it's safe to say that it gets a thrashing Tom
  4. it's not gonna give it a million bhp if thats what you mean lol. it will make a difference, it'll be noticable, but not a massive difference. Tom
  5. very good mate, looks fab, is that a j1 ninja you've got aswell? Tom
  6. that's a fantastic collection mate, love to see people that still have older bikes to ride on. Tom
  7. the swinging arm and wheels on it are completely standard on the DT125X. just for those wanting to know Tom
  8. Don't change them mate, generally on 4-stroke 125's the sprockets are geared for maximum potential from the bike. Tom
  9. yeah i'm 100% sure of where it's leaking from. the caliper has actually split on the inside on the seam. So when i brake, the fluid spills from the crack and goes all over my brake pads, disc, tyre, leg etc. And every time i brake, the fluid level drops a little more. It happened a couple of months before my warranty ran out, but the the dealership i got it from wouldn't repair it because i'd changed my brakelines. So now i have to do it all myself . . . Tom
  10. Please help lol Bumpety bump Tom
  11. a bit of both, he does al kinds f 2-strokes aswell, even quads. but he's at so many race events it's hard to catch him in where are ARD? £150 sounds pretty reasonable for a good tune-up Tom
  12. basically, if a helmet doesnt fit all the correct areas then it can cause aches and pains for a start, but also, if there's any loose areas then in the hopefully unlikely event of an accident, you can end up with what is practically 2 head impacts. one as the helmet hits the floor, and then another as your head hits the helmet. What you're looking for in a new helmet is a fit as follows: Cheeks nice and snug, enough to give you hamster cheeks, but not too much so it causes you to constantly bite your cheeks. Top of the head should fit about a snug as a wooly hat, any tighter and you'll end up with headaches. Also make sure that when you have the helmet on, you need to be able to fit 2-3 fingers (sideways) between your chin and the inner of the helmet. again, otherwise in the unlikely event of an accident, you could damage your jaw. I've got an arai viper gt. and when i got it 2 years ago, it felt fantastic, and it's still as comfortable as the day i got it. Also take care of the helmet lining. ie: don't put your gloves in your lid. you get some horrible stuff on your gloves, fuel/flies/dirt. and then that makes a mess of your linings. Think of it this way, it puts most people out of the habit . . . Flies eat shit, then your gloves squat the flies, you put your gloves in your lid, your lid on your head and essentially putting your head in shit. Not literally, but you get the point lol Hope that helps anyhow Tom
  13. Hi guys . . . recently had a few problems with my back brake, after riding the other day, i got home and there was brake fluid splattered everywhere, allover my back tyre, swinging arm, and up the shock protector. i checked the brake lines were all nipped up and dry and they were fine, even bought a caliper service kit and rebuilt the caliper. I was talking to a mate at my local Yam dealer and he says that there's a fair chance that the seam on the inside of the caliper could have given way and that's where it could be leaking from. so now i'm on the market for a full rear brake caliper. Does anyone have one laying about as a spare or will it be a breaker/dealer job. the dealer costs way way way too much Cheers in advance Tom
  14. had this problem myself mate, make sure your chains not too slack and give it a good clean and lube. Mine barely makes a noise now. Tom
  15. yeah i realise the jets need to be different for full potential, but i figured that it'd sap power all the way thru the gears if it was just that. I'm thinking of looking for a larger carb soon anyways, nothin drastic, just a little extra size.I also know a guy who tunes and races 2-smokes, so i might let him loose on the DT . . . Tom
