  1. Hi After a long delay I'm finally getting my bike back together though I've hit a snag, I ordered a bearing set from Wemoto which consisted of two bearings for the front wheel and and two for the back wheel with another for the sprocket carrier. The Haynes manual says that the FZR should have 2 bearings side by side on the RHS and one on the LHS making three. If this is right the bearings will not fit. I can't remember if this is right as it was a long time aga that I removed them for powder coating. If anyone can shed any light I would be grateful.
  2. Wayne The original lines and master cylinder will fit with no problems.
  3. Just a thought On the forks there is usually a small bolt or screw that allows the fork oil to be drained out of the forks. Maybe this is leaking and causing the oil to drip onto the calipher. Ryan
  4. Good on you! Go for it. I went around N Ireland on a Honda MB 5 and thoroughly enjoyed it, I was only 16 at the time and the freedom that I felt was brilliant and has kept me hooked for almost 24 years now. I always wanted to go south but never made it so now I'm jealous and look forward to reading your blog. Good luck
  5. They do fit with no problems, I just put a pair on my foxeye. Ryan

    Services

Hi I'm rebuilding my FZR 600R and I'm looking for a good shotblaster and powdercoating services and metal fabricators in Shropshire or there abouts I've tried Google but most sites just give details on how shotblasting and powdercoating works, I would rather use someone who has done a good job rather than take a chance and end up with a poor job. If anyone has recommendations it would be appreciated. Thank you Ryan

    Hello

Hi Lardybloke Thanks for the reply, I'm going to just go with the original body work for now until the bike is up and running , then try out a R6 rear and see how that goes. Regards Ryan

    Hello

Hi everyone, Just thought that I would post an intro as I have been browsing the sight for a while and because of this I've got the biking bug back after to much time away from it. I've had my FZR since 96 and for the last 5 years it has been sitting in the back garden housing mice and spiders, until yesterday, when I started stripping it down for a rebuild and respray. I've ordered some parts of ebay and then hopefully will get it to the shotblasters in the next 2 weeks and then get it powdercoated. Looking around the forum has given me some great ideas and inspiration for what I would like to do with the bike, however I have 2 sticking points, 1: can up side down forks be fitted and if so which ones? 2: I would like to change the back end to something more modern, (R6 ish) how easy or hard is it to do this? Thanks Ryan
