    xt125x

I read somewhere on the forum Yamaha are doing a 180cc Malossi kit for the r125, There must be a kit for the xtx aswell??
  2. Really? what model of Velocette is she? me and my dad were thinking of taking the Velo racer up to the UGP for the classic parade laps this year, I'm not sure if a racing licence is needed to complete the parade laps, could your father shed any light on this?
  3. Broken hip in Jan 2007, Its still quite swollen and the nerve damge is irreversable. At least I'm sill here http://www.bebo.com/PhotoAlbumBig.jsp?Phot...umId=3057479158
  4. has anyone came across a stainless Gianelli expansion chamber for the dt? I seen a video on youtube and this guy has 1, i emailed him to check if it was definately stainless and he said it was. He hasnt got back to me on where to get one.
  5. I have the same bike as yours, all I have done is fitted a dep silencer, earthed the powervalve wire and went 2 teeth up on the front sprocket, mine also indicates 85 on the clock, do you know exectly what the dealer done to de-restrict yours?
  6. alrighty then, thanks for clearing that up for me
  7. nice bike, not quite an Aprillia rs is it?? why TZR 125's were not still produced the same as DT's baffles me (yes I know every1 hates 2 strokes because theyre enviromentaly unfriendly!)...... Bullshit, what about direct injection????? the R125 would be a lovely bike equipped with the tzrsp engine, 33 horses, possibly a more reliable match for the Aprillia?
  8. thats what my dad always tells me lol (not calling you an oul lad by the way) but he always comes of with comments like that all because i crashed once, or because I havent crashed enough lol! for instance.... 'you couldnt sit on a poe!' thats his favourite lol
  9. your best bet is to determine the standard jet and go up 2 for starters. there must be a few lads out there with RD125 experience
  10. Remember that the smaller the bore of the carb, the higher the velocity of air going through it. My dad rekons a 30mm with the right jetting will suffice, but dont take our word (his) do a bit of research, ask around, I'm sure there's a few cab experts out there????? Incidently why is the 170cc kit only giving you 90mph with Stan Stevens tuning? did he also tune the carb?, im guessing not. My standard dt125x will fill the clock nearly (80mph) with 2 up, no joke.... no lie! the only mod i have done is a Dep silencer, earth the powervalve retard wire, and a 18 front sproket!! This is all I've done!
  11. well I hope to get him down to £50, I know the guy quite well so I'l maybe give him the old 1 too, apparently they're hard to get and quite expensive if your lucky to get one from Yamaha
  12. well I,ve sourced one from my local bike breaker from a 2007 crash damaged with 3k on the clock, £80
  13. looks like its gonna be an interesting bike

    Help with fairing

http://www.ardracing.com/yamaha.html they have a few too
  15. does anyone know how much it would cost to get a starter motor armature rewound? or would it be cheaper to find a second hand complete starter?
  16. what kind of tyres does the r125 run?? I found the standard Pirelli Sport Demons on my dt125x where crap in the wet, and even in the dry the front end didnt feel so sure footed, when cornering hard the front would skip about offering me very little confidence. Since I had the bike and 11k miles later, I've changed the back twice and the front once, the rear I got next rear was a Bridgestone Battlax, it was quite good, better in the wet, the next set I got was Dunlop Arrowmax front and back, big difference in the front end, alot easier to ride in the wet. I decided to go from the standard rear (140/70/17) to a 130/70/17 and the front (120/70/17) to a 110/70/17... it is a 125 afterall. I suppose in a way its down to the rider on tyre choices. good luck anyway

    Help with fairing

    Check this out http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=h...ficial%26sa%3DN
  18. Well my dad and I inspected the starter motor, its gone, we put a meter on the comutator and there was a negative reading on 1 of the segments. On further inspection one of the wires of the armature windings between the rotor slots looked like it was broken and there was a small gouge mark on the two pole shoes, so we think this is the problem. New starter required.
  19. nice bike, are the wheels the same as the dt125x? also what kind of bars are they?
  20. so it isnt really for help searching for contents of member posts?
  21. well I just tried searching 'yamaha', 'yamaha dt125', 'fazer' nothing seems to come up in the search results, maybe I'm doing something wrong?
  22. whats the deal with the above link, every word i searched retured zero results. is there a problem with it?

    Disturbing

Kids are growing up way too fast, at the age of 13 having a child never mind being sexually active is out of the question. methinks this is one of many problems young people face growing up. The media is to blame for much of it I think, although parents need to take the reigns and have more authority and discipline their young ones. I read somewhere a while ago some clothes outlet was doing push up bra's and thongs for 8 year old girls. Ofcourse young girls want to be in the latest fasion but at 8 years old its a bit sick. Kids are growing up living in a bubble full of playstations, drugs, drink, sex, crime etc etc etc, no kid is safe from any of these and its a big problem!!!
  24. your right there, shame about the recent weather, but I suppose it is february after all, roll on the summer. are you in a local bike club or do you just go out with some mates? I would usually go out with my dad and a couple of his mates, he rides an oul Velocette 350 viper, nearly a match for my dt lol alot of monkey bikes go out aswell, those things can go, my dad clocked his mate at 77mph on a 110 or a 140cc, cant remeber now, but its fast enough on one of those wee things!!
