Picked up this old girl for 1000 gold coins - 70,000kms(no cam chain rattle yet), new rear tyre, rego, runs and rides pretty nice. Need to get rid of an electrical gremlin (engine goes out sometimes while cruising along at 80km/hr - sometimes I have to pull over and give her a minute before she'll fire again) :S But all in all she's comfy as hell and should be a trusty steed.

Hi new to the forum , just thought I'd say a quick hello! This is my 1983 YB100 , which I brought around 2 hours ago for £380 , with 12 months mot, but when I got it none of the electrics worked but it kicked first time and ran beautifully, just wondered if it is likely to be the battery as I think it's a 6 volt so would it not hold as much charge? I am charging it tomorrow night just to make sure before I do anything rash. It's a tad rusty here and there and the paint is somewhat faded , so there is some restoration to be carried out , also it has no indicators, dropped bars and a cafe racer-ish seat . Oh yer , I'am from Leicestershire bordering Northamptonshire …

After restoring the bike for 4 months its finished, its motd and insured so i can now get it registered. Its been a good resto which i have enjoyed, fairly easy but most of the bits have to come from the states. I have done all the polishing and wheel rebuilding, rebuilt the motor and re-sheathed the controls. Soon to enjoy this summer Next resto is my DT360 Cheers TTB

The day I got my xvs650 classic Pillion seat for the wife For my solo rides, I love the rear fender line. I've added metzeller whitewall tyres, toolbag on front forks, took the screen off. I'm gonna drill the mufflers, relocate the number plate, fit new rear lights and add new handlebars maybe beach bars or something similar. All cosmetic at the mo until I can figure out other bits to do!

So I bit the bullet a couple of weeks ago and splashed out on a tail tidy for my FZ6. I spent weeks debating on an R&G one or a cheaper competitor.. So I found one by Evotech. Anyhow fitting was easy, unfortunately my plate is still a bit big, need to get a narrower one made. But this is how she looks with and without the fender:

Got the Acerbis Active Dual Sport yesterday for £124.99. Had to find a new place to mount the camera because the elongated chin took over most of the left side. New placement on top seems much better, was waiting for the mount to dry in and going to give it a test today . The helmet also comes with a nice interior sun visor!

Met up with my brother recently to make the most of getting out on the bikes together before his baby arrives over the summer. He originally only bought the bike to do a tour of europe and was supposed to sell it when they got back nearly a year a go now! Its definitely tempted me to get more of a road going bike with a nicer seat position as the r6 gets a bit achy on long motorway runs of over 150miles ish. Anyway, that Triumph shifts quicker than it looks and the sound of a nice nice triple never gets old!
