Just being polite and posting my first missive here. I'm in the process of trying to get a 1966 YL1 twinjet back on the road, so any help with parts sources would be much appreciated. After that there is the 1975 DT400 (twinshock) meccano kit under the bench. I won't mention the '81 Bonnie I'm building as a cafe racer, and the 1972 LWB Land-Rover that is supposed to be being converted to a camper. Should you think I'm a total luddite, I've got an 07 KTM 950 supermoto for my daily ride at the moment. What else do you want to know? I used to be a welder, but now I'm an anaesthetic nurse. My wife got me a job in theatres during a spell of unemployment, and its an i…

Love new forums, so much info. I bought a dt125 about 10 years ago from a swap meet. Ran great for 3 days then siezed up. Ten years later still bugs me to this day sooo...I got 300 dollars into it now so whats another 200 and have a rebuilt motor right. Well getting everything togeather today I realized im missing a lot of parts. I have the cylinder but no head or bolts. water got into motor and rod and crank are a little rusty now. I got them moving and realixe I either need a new crank, to have a clean surface for new rod bearrings, or can I just replace a pin not sure how they come apart. I found new pistons used heads and such off of ebay, and it is now that I rea…

Hi, I'm Blake! My used '07 YBR125 was delivered today (the week long wait was nearly unbearable being stuck on the 50cc!, so I guess I qualify for the Yamaha owners club! Just to say hi really, looking forward to getting to know the YBR a little more, and looking forward to the expert advice i'm sure will be kicking around here! As my 50cc was a Piaggio, and died at the merest glimpse of rain i'm mainly looking forward to a bike that starts and still goes in the wet! So hello to all of you

Hi everyone, new Yamaha owner here. My wife bought me a couple project bikes for Christmas, one is a '96 Virago 535 with 27,000 miles on it. It's in decent shape, been outside for a bit but overall it shouldn't take much to get running. The gas tanks are pretty rusty inside and I'm going to remove the carbs and clean them, change all the fluids, check the valves, and hopefully that'll be it for the engine. There is some kind of electrical issue too, when you turn on the signals, they all blink back and forth no matter which direction you push. Again, hopefully something simple. For $200, even if I have to sink a couple hundred more into it, we'll have a fun little bike. …
