Evening all. Im new here. I ride a WR125R with a few mods. Use it for green lanes and offroad playing. Im in desperate need of the front and rear wheel bearings. All i can find on the net is the front bearings, nothing for rear. Ive looked through endless google pages but can't find any part numbers or dimensions. So ANY help at all would be brilliant, could do with sorting it before saturdays outing. Cheers Paddy

Ever since buying my bike last week I have been really paranoid and anxious about it getting stolen. The type of bike i have is very popular with bike theives (XT 125) and i just can't get it out of my mind that it will get stolen. I have two decent chains and locks which I use, but I know if a theif wants something they will get it no matter what the obstacle. When I am at work I have to keep my bike outside overnight and it is really getting to me.

Hello, new member here. I just recently bought a DT400 missing most of it's body work and electrics since it was ran strictly off road. It was advertised as a 75 which would be a 400B. The VIN on the frame is 450-x which according to http://auction.netbikes.com.au/vjmw.php?page=yamaha_id is classified as a "DT250 Japan." The engine VIN is 501-x which says "DT400 Japan." Am I safe saying that it is a 75 when I buy parts? Also would all the cables and wiring and such for a 75 (if that is the correct year) DT400 fit on that frame? Is the bike even worth restoring to a roadworthy/sellable state since the frame and engine VINs dont match?

Hello Everybody I have a DT50 year 1990 bike. I need to change the tachometer cable. But no matter how I pull the cable out (the end near the throttle cable), it won't come out. Can I just pull it to remove the cable or are there any screws to be unscrewed first? The speedo cable was straight forward. Just needed a pull... Please help me :/

Hi guys. I have a 1994 DT50 Lc , its Portuguese. The exhaust goes up on the left side of the bike, its drum front brake and Liquid cooled but not the AM6 engine. I have tried,: S.I.P. tuning PM tuning Wemoto PSN Tuning Scooter Attack Adrenalin BSM tuning Any suggestions? As I need to get new gaskets as my coolant blew through the barrel last week and the only place that knows what bike this is, is a company cal…

Hi - new here so apologies for probably repeating an old topic.... Just bought my son a DT in pieces to use as a field bike. Having put it back together, the wiring loom has clearly been modified/butchered and the bike must have been running without a battery...assuming it was running previously. Having connected the obvious items such as magneto outputs to cdi, cdi to coil and rectifier to cdi, the engine will generate a spark but not multiple sparks. The wiring diagram I've found for this model is short of detail so not much help.. I'm an engineer in the motor racing industry so should be able to work this out eventually, but any quick answers from experienc…

I have a running dt125 This is my first bike I have worked on and need some help. I am attempting to change the bike into a street tracker and want to find out a few things if possible. 1) any tricks I can do to the engine or bike to make it faster? 2) I want to take the air box and replace it with a cleaner looking air filter, can it be done? 3) I cannot get the turn signals to blink, they turn on when I turn the switch but only stay on and not blink.

hello all, i am having trouble getting spark from my 1979 dt125f and after checking the all the wiring (including the coil, the rectifier, the ignition/kill switch, the ground, cleaning the condenser/points aswell as the coils) and when we checked the voltage coming out of the magneto, it only topped out at about 4-6v. and when searching around we found that it is way too low, so we checked the wiring inside the magneto and it all seems good (in terms of resistance and continuity) between the four contact points and the ground. Are we missing anything? Any help will be greatly appretiated Thanks in advance

So, i have a problem when starting my bike when engine is cold. Funny thing is, it depends on the weather, when its hot outside i can start it easily, when degrees go down like 10 celsius then its more hard to light it up and it very easily wets the spark plug. I never use choke, because when i have tried it, it never helps anything, and i have a feeling that it will only wet my spark plug more easily. Allways when my engine is hot, there is no problems with starting it up. There is some little other problems too, that i think will have something to do with this too. Sometimes, when i run on idle, my engine goes off without warning. Allso, when i drive, i think when i…

First bike. Yamaha xt350 97. If ridden the bike for probably 400kms now. There always seems to be n little oil in the barge plate at the bottom, so Im worried that I might end up riding it without oil or to low of a level and do damage to the engine. Is the bit of oil in the barge plate normal? How often do I need to top up oil? How much? Is there a dipstick like in a car? Thanks

Well it seems I've encountered another problem with the dt. I was riding home from work and as I turned down my lane the throttle suddenly didn't feel as responsive. My cable is a bit sticky atm so I thought it could be snapping but then the bike cut out completely and refused to start by kicking or bumping. As I was riding home I noticed that the bike wasn't idling and I had to keep revving when i stopped to keep it running. I walked it home and after about half hour I tried kicking it over again to no avail, and after about 6-7 kicks it made a fairly loud bang and started to smell like a firework! But I don't know where the bang came from. I should also mention that all…

Hello, I’m posting this as I really have run out of ideas. I’ve restored my dt175mx from a non runner. The engine is fully rebuilt, exhaust decoked, stator rewound, rotor is intact, carb has been cleaned and I’ve fitted new jets to suit the standards in the Yamaha manual I have. I’ve put a new coil and plug on. Timing is set as the marks state. Reeds look good and all rubbers are tidy. New air filter and everything nice and tightly done up. Oil pump is rebuilt and the exhaust has a nice blue tint. she fires up first kick, ticks over nicely, but once you ride it it it has nothing from 4 to 5 k., splutters and won’t rev. I just can’t think what I’ve missed and don’t k…

New owner here, first ride today. Tried a couple of hills today and had some issues between 1st and 2nd while going up a few decent hills. First was too low and second wanted to bog. Who has dropped a tooth or two in the counter shaft sprocket to help with this and what kind of results did you notice ? Pretty sure this probably has been addressed before but I don't know where or how to look.
