alexasigno has kindly given me permission to post this up. I would like to invite all members of this club to the first annual Dorset Japanese Car Show (DJCS). The show is to take place on Sunday 2nd August 2009 at the Canford Park Arena near Poole in Dorset. As there has been such a great interest in the show amounst Japanese car clubs and owners, I as the event organiser have decided to extend the invitation to Japanese bike clubs and owners. With well over 100 car clubs invited it's going to be a car packed day with the finest Japanese cars from the last 40 years on display and I hope there will be as much interest from the Japanese bike…

Wot it says - Saturday 23rd April, meet at Scotriders from 11 o'clock onwards for a 1 o'clock ride-out through 'the toon'. Bring a fiver for charity (Glenlaw House respite centre) and an egg (choccy of course!) for the kiddies (various local charities cop for these). The Picnic Basket burger van will, as usual, be on site to cater for your every meat and bread roll based desire, hopefully the weather will play ball again, unlike the snowed-off Santa Run (snow in April? Not unheard of, y'know!). Want to know what you're letting yourself in for? Here's a taste of last year's run: I'll be there, marshalling in my yellow vest. Anyone?

Saturday 4th December, meet up at Scotriders from 11:30 (ish), ride out at 1. Bring a fiver for the bucket and a wrapped pressie (labelled boy/girl & age range) - money goes to Glenlaw House respite centre, pressies to the kiddies at Dundee Womens Aid. Tarted up bikes and Santa suit not compulsory, but recommended. Incentives to come - apart from the warm feeling of doing good for others, there's the warm feeling of a burger/bacon/egg roll from the Picnic Basket burger van, officially sanctioned traffic chaos in the middle of Dundee on a Saturday in the run-up to Xmas, and the chance to get your face all over Youtube ... here's last year's run: Tha…

What it says on the tin! Meet at Scotriders on Dock Street (Linky Thing) from 11:30 for a 1pm start. Santa suits and tinsel not compulsory, but always good for a photo in the local rag..... See you there? Oh yeah, all the pennies raised go to the Glenlaw House respite centre.

Hi folks, theres a few of us planning a ride-out early this summer from Plymouth, across the channel to France and then riding down to Spain, it will be a low cost trip staying in tents in the evenings etc. If we get enough names together I will post ferry prices etc and the route & duration will be decided by all that are going, all bikes welcome.

If all comes together I will have the full licence and bike before this weekend. As its a nice 4 day break I am thinking of having a good ride out. I am not getting my hopes up as it would be easy to make a stupid mistake on test day and not be able to get a re- test in time for the weekend. However where can I go? What to do? Are there any shows on that weekend or just some good roads and routes the more experienced biker knows. It doesnt have to just be the UK. It could be over the water. (mainland europe) Thanks in advance.

There is going to be a rideout starting from Norwich Showground (norfolk) heading to Great Yarmouth and then onto Lowestoft(suffolk) all bikes are welcome it happens every year except 2004 when they would rather have the POP beach thing on and it clashed with the rideout and as they eckon not enough police to do the two one had to give way.Every year there is at least 1000 taking part, police escort etc a brill day will let you know the cost as soon as i have it but last year it was £6 to take part.I have been told the forms will be available next month some time. As soon as i get hold of one i will post more info.. All money raised in the past has been handed to the Ja…

Hey folks, Had the Divvy since April and put almost 2000 miles on it. I know that's not loads but hey, you gota start somewhere! So I'm actually going from Prestonpans to Eastriggs. I've got to be a bit boring on the way down; A702, M74, a couple of wee back roads form junction 20 and then Eastriggs but I'm thinking of coming back up the A7 and cutting over to the A68. Not the longest or most exciting ride but it'll be my furthest to date. If anyone is out and about I'll be on the road from about lunch time.... and so far the weather looks good! p.s. hoping to do it on 1 tank of fuel!
