Hi everyone have seen a few streetfighters on eBay lately and also remember seeing pics of Goffs wonderful 'Zuki. but what makes a streetfighter a streetfighter?, what criteria does it have to meet?. theres some cheap sports bikes around and im toying with the thought of having a bash at a little 250-400 streetfighter. - Steve

Hell i have a 1983 Yamaha maxim 400.. how do i know if i have the XS400R or XS400 ? I want to get new NGK iridium plugs and not sure what motor to get them for, as they are different part numbers. THANKS! 1984-1977 400 XS400 Iridium BPR7EIX 4055 0.032 1983-1982 400 XS400R Iridium DR8EIX 6681 0.028 I don't trust the plugs that are in there now. The guy I bought the bike from wasn't very mechanically inclined.

well after being asked that many times if i was thinking of selling my bike would i give them first refusal, i have with much regret sold my 125 dragstar (nearly shed a tear)as anybody whos seen it knows it was mint. so my question is what next, bearing in mind i am in my sixties and also have a fz600 what should i get next, love the style and comfort of cruisers but also like the adrenalin rush of sports bikes. all suggestions welcome.

Hi guys, Haven't been on here for a while because I've been busy at work. Right here's the dilemma..................... I bought my 125 in March and now am seriously bored of it. I have an XT 125 X four stroke which is an excellent beginner's bike but slow as..... My plan over the last few months was to get a 125 2T sports, Aprilia RS or equivilent which I would keep as weekend bike to satisfy my need for speed and to get my kicks. But, now I am thinking shall I just do my test? I don't know whether to get a 125 sports or just do my test.

hi everyone i,v just got a dt 230 lanza with a sloppy bore. the piston measures up to the standard piston size of 66.752 and the average bore size is 66.815. does anybody know the size that the coulor coded pistons go up in. according to the service manual piston to bore clearence should not be much over 0.1 and is it best to get the bigger size and hone the bore to suit? any help would be great thanks. deka

what sand paper to use to get a good crome like shine ? i was thinking 2000 grit or maybe 2500 or even 3000?? what do you think i have already sanded the bits im doing with quite fine stuf but you can still see the lines so want to go even finer i know how to do it as i did it to the top of the coper cooler on my computer prosesor (lapping) just wondering how far to go ? this is the cpu after lapping with sand paper so thats what i want my other stuf to look like but not coper obv

I woke up this morning with my alarm sounding and by the time I got out the front door the culprit was gone. I just woke up, so I didn't think of taking pictures at the time. After I lifted it back up and checked for visual damage I only found damage where the engine, fairing and road met this morning. I had it covered with good cover at least! I think I know who it was. I was parked on the street with my nose to my front door, about 4ft behind a 4x4 Merc and on my left a white Ford. My left mirror was bent flat as the vehicle reversed into my bike. I'm fortunate to be ordering an XJ6 Diversion F next week, fitted with a 39L top box. Given that I commute all year round I wanted to invest in something more than a throw over cover and was looking at Bike Barn or Bike Home(?); the fabric covered metal framed, drive in pull over ones. Unfortunately I can't tell from the pictures on the adverts which size I'd need for the cover to clear the top box at the back. Does anyone out there already have the same bike, with a top box (39L or more) and uses such a cover? If so please would you recommend the make and let me know what size to order?
