Subject: Fw: Address Book Protection I learned a computer trick today that's really ingenious in its simplicity. As you may know, when/if a worm virus gets into your computer it heads straight for your email address book, and sends itself to everyone in there, thus infecting all your friends and associates. This trick won't keep the virus from getting into your computer, but it will stop it from using your address book to spread further, and it will alert you to the fact that the worm has gotten into your system. Here's what you do: First, open your address book and click on "new contact," just as you would do if you wer…

about retiring from road riding. A very good friend of mine was killed at the weekend and I'm wondering if it's worth it anymore. He wasn't even doing anything wrong. Was doing the speed limit 30 mph when a car driver pulled out.

You know it, we all get them. I get insane jumpers from my mum each year - weird and bizzare colours. I wonder where she gets them from as no solvent and trading business in the world would risk producing these babies ! I reckon she must have bought clothes in the mid 70's for all the Christmas's until 2020. I daren't wear them as I'd get sectioned under the mental health act or beaten to death in the street. I'll get ties, t-shirts and socks which are very handy but as no one in my family likes bikes, let alone drives a car 'cept my mum, I won't be getting those biking luxuries  but a new tool for porting and cylinder heads is on the cards - cool.. what a…

What kind of wedding band did you get? Seems that many people are going non-traditional with metals these days. I personally went with Rose Gold, I had been planning on Black Titanium, but heard it scratches really easily. Just curious, as my band is supposed to arrive today!

When my auldest boy turned 16 we got him a reiju 50 (minarelli engine same as Yam use, so on topic) and at 22 he is still riding. Unfortunately he cannot put a nut in a monkeys mouth because I have done all the maintenance / repairs on the 3 bikes he has owned. My youngest will turn 14 in the summer and I'm thinking of picking up an auld DT 50 (or similar). That way he can help me restore it in time for his 16th and in doing so, pick up a bit of tinkering knowledge. I assume parts are easy to come by, and there would be no rush. Thoughts anyone???

Long story short, for some unknown reason the throttle cable was stolen from my Yamaha Mt-03. I'm having trouble installing the new one as I have no idea where the cable was routed. Is it common for them to go under the fuel tank? Thanks, Raj

Hi to all members. I'm completely new to Yamahas, having had mainly suzukis and kawasakis in the past. I have just purchased(over the internet) a 1998 Thunderace which has done 21k and has been self-serviced by the previous owner from new. I haven't even ridden the bike yet (which is a bit silly) but I liked the look/style of it and it seems to be the right price. The dealer has assured me it's in A1 condition. I like to know a bit about what I'm riding so I wondered if any of you guys know of any common faults/problems with these m/c's that I need to be aware of. Any imput will be greatly appreciated. Also any reviews on your own Thunderace experiences will be appre…

Long shot but worth a try. Does anyone on here own a bright yellow Ace reg number P93 RMW? Or know of it? Its still insured according to the database. would love to see or maybe even own it again. Thanks

  20. Hi guys, I wondered why my Ace had a bit of a wonky indicator (front left). I found the indicator had been cunningly wedged in using black electrical insulating tape. Taking the thing apart I found there was no supporting stay behind the indicator hence the reason for it being a bit wonky. I couldn't find anything on EBay for my bike and I don't really want to pay over £20 new for a bent bit of metal which is all it effectively is. Does anyone know if there are bikes with compatible parts - other than the Thundercat which is similar age and has presumably similar 'hen's teeth' parts availability. Many thanks in advance
