Hi all, i am thinking about getting the new Haga rep as i think its an awesome colour scheme and as i do a lot of mile on the bike i want to know my head is as well protected as i can get and even though £500 is a steep price to pay safety is my main concern. Just wanted to know if anyone has got an Arai Corsair and their thoughts on it or words of advices regarding Arai's in general. Are they noisey?? My KBC Vr2 legend is quite noisey and it bugs me a bit! And if anybody has got any other helmets they strongly recommend please say! Cherers.

I've noticed that almost all motorbikes have horns that make a sound like my moped's and i wonder why they can't have more manly horns, does anyone know waht the laws are on getting better sounding horns or musical horns on a bike? Anyone know any funny stories about horns on motorbikes?

Hello all, Recently did a rider course that was required for a new job that i started. Even though i had been riding many fast bikes over many years, i had never heard of the term counter steering. Once learning and practising this technique i now believe this to be one of the most useful things that i have been shown when it comes to bike riding. For years when i wanted to avoid an obstacle quickly, i dropped the bike in the direction i wanted to go and gassed it passed the obstacle, then dropped it back to the original line. After being shown counter steering i will never rely soley on the old method again. Most of you are probably aware of this technique. For those of…

I have just finished restoring a 1982 dt50mx, the problem is I can't get no spark, I've changed the Ignition coil, points, condensor & plug, Iv'e had the source coil rewound, carried out various cont checks, still nothing. The inline diode that goes between the coil and stator has also been replaced. Iv'e conected a 24v test light to to check the output from the stator it seems to be producing current but I think its not enough to generate a spark. I've also tried a stator from a friend bike that I know works, still no spark. The ignition switch and the stop switch have been checked for any short circuits, Iv'e even tried with them dissconnected. Iv'e run …

Ahem minor confession for the benefit of others. Took the long way home today. As i finish at 1, sun's out so go find some warm tarmac, well suffice to say i was enjoying myself. I was going fast enough to make the race can seem quiet Went tonking round a loverly 3 figure bend then when the bypass runs out its back to bumpy country stuff but y'know the bloods up. Flick left, then right bike kicking over the bumps. Heading for the roundabout i learn't to knee down on so a personal favorite, grabbed a handfull....... of fcuk all. Pumped em up with a squeeze and got through a bloody site faster than i planned to. Thankfully the roundabout is biiiig an…

Oh been out today, the missus had taken the kids to a party and would be gone for 3-4 hours, was it work. No, was it football, No. It was Bike keys. 150 miles and 2 tanks of gas later i'm buzzing, no dual carriage ways, no motorways just sweet A and B roads and a blast on the new Bedford ring which is just perfect, new tarmac and roundabouts with minimal traffic. Sweet, the bike is still cooling down outside pinging contentedly to its self. The title? They will never experience the sound of a 2stroke twin having the throttle nailed, the knife edge power that has the tail breaking out. Its almost erotic the howl, the airbox. No 4 stroke will ever come close. …

Hi all, I am considering buying a Yamaha Midnight Star XVS 950 cruiser motorbike but have one problem. I have seen in a lot of youtube videos the footboards scraping the ground when turning and this seems to be quite an issue with the bike. It doesn't have great ground clearance. However, there must be a way to stop this? I was wondering if there is anything you can get to add to the bike to stop this? Maybe some kind of small rollers to fit on the underside of the footboards to stop the scraping? Or some protective material to protect the actual metal from scraping? I am not keen on having to replace the footboards all the time! Any help?

Evening all! Just wondering if anyone is into classic bikes (apart from Yams of course!) I'm lucky enough to get to ride my dads BSA & Velocettes. It's a really different experience but I love it !! Currently restoring a Sun, picked up as a sentimental addition to the garage but turns out it's quite rare. Vic
