Hey everyone! I just got my first bike, a 1980 SR250. I cleaned the carb, plan to change the oil and the spark-plug, just some basic stuff. I have it running, and it runs pretty well! I have 2 questions: - There's a LOT of rust in my tank. I have an in-line filter on it, and my fuel-line is clear, and you can see the large amounts of rust in the fuel line. I don't want this to eventually clog up my fuel line. Is it fine like this? or should I have the inside of the tank rust-proofed somehow? -My muffler is rusted out the wazoo. I can see broken off parts sitting inside the muffler, and the opening is almost completely rusted out. Should I replace this? or does…

Hello all, New member here, have just bought my first bike after much deliberation - decided in the end to go the sensible route and so I am starting with a Dragstar 125. It's a great-looking bike considering its engine size imo, I'm not too fussed about speed at this stage I'd rather get to where I'm going in one piece. Anyway would be nice to chat to any other Dragstar owners out there, will keep you all updated as to my progress. Cheers Johnny

Just got a Yamaha YB 100 off of ebay, 1989 29K on the clock and has been dumped by the PO, a young lad who knows nothing about bikes or how to fix them and a Dad who wants his garage back ! So I am the proud owner of a 2 stroke which I haven't had since 1967ish ! Winter is sorted then just need to find out if it will run and ride plus what if anything needs replacing, I will be back with questions about 2 strokes soon. PS anyone got a manual?

Ok doing the EBAY thing and saw a good deal on ebay, next thing you know I now own a FJ1200, just got to tell the wife , that's not a conversation you will want to hear about. So going to pick it up during the week in Macclesfield just got to hire a van and go and get it, seems ok and the guy selling it says it's alright but will have to give it the once over when I get there, thanks to Tasky (thanks again mate) I now know what to look for and at least I will not be buying blind as the FJ website has all the "what to look for" bit's and bob's laid out, so as soon as I get it home will get some photos up for you all to look at, wish me luck please as I might be sleeping …

Hi everyone I was hoping today was going to be a happy day for me but not to be. I had my test this morning at 9.40 and all week doing my das course I was getting on great but yesterday for some reason I couldn't get my u-turns, today however I was at the training school at 7 am and I practiced until it fell into place. Then when I started my test I couldn't beleive how smoothly it went, all my manouvers were perfect until 10 minutes to go I stalled the bike at a junction, the bike was in second I was sure I had it in first and I ran over the give way and he failed me boohoo. Apart from theat I got one other minor fault.......Gutted absolutely gutted.

. If you are ever called a couch potato because you are not moving ... the reality is as follows: . 1: The earth is moving within an expanding universe at roughly sixty six billion miles per hour 2: The earth on the edge of the milky way galaxy rotates in galactic orbit at two million five hundred and eighty thousand miles per hour 3: The earth rotates around the sun at sixty six thousand miles per hour 4: The earth rotates at upon its own axis at 900 mph . Thus while sitting upon that couch you are actually travelling at .... Sixty six billion, two hundred and sixty four million, six thousand and nine hundred ... miles per hour . Thus it is not what is actual…

Hi Everyone, Complete novice at this game not sure if i'm hitting all the correct buttons. Purchased my first sports bike last August (R6). i have owned a 600 Bandit, 600 fazer, Speed Tiple, Sprint st, and now the R6 over the last 7 years. Why it took me this length of time to buy a sports bike i not sure. What a revelation, it's light, handles like a dream and is plenty quick enough for the UK roads, (not sure about the stock Dunlops though, all the other bikes have been shod with Bridgestones)Waiting for the weather to improve, so that i can get out more with my mates for a blast on the west country roads.
